These four All-State guys do not seem to be committed to colleges yet. Any worth a look or visit?
Lorne Currie Jr. Torrey Pines tourney MVP.
Feagin. A good PG. Could be useful.
K. Smith. Another PG.
Lauderdale. A 6'8" big.
How bad can a CA All-State player be?

Do not think any of the four were rated in the top 150 HS recruits. What offers do they currently have. State of CA only had 14 guys in the top 150 HS Rivals . Any HS guy you give a scholarship to for 2015 , takes away scholarships for 2016 . If Narain comes in as 2015 recruit , he is exploring options as 2015 or 2016 , then that would mean we are using 12 scholarships . There are a couple of transfers, that are visiting with the next week or two . major recruiting needs for 2016 Centers and forwards .

The player ranking/rating numbers are just fine and dandy. But, guys like JF, DJ Gay and Al Faux come along and demonstrate that there are a lot of other guys that can play D1 basketball at a high level even though they were never "ranked". It ain't just about the #s for most of the 350+ D1 teams with only 150 ranked players available each year; an average of less than one half player per team. The other guys on the teams come from somewhere. We have seen a lot of good/useful players in the MWC over the years who were not numerically ranked.
I like to think that the coaches are looking under as many rocks as possible. All-State CA players have been through a pretty fine filter, in my opinion, to achieve that honor and are probably worth a look---dependent upon needs.

Don't you think coaches have looked them over plenty, given the fact they had enough exposure to garner all-state? It's not like they flew under the radar.
If they were worthy of playing at the next level I'm pretty sure someone would have offered them the opportunity, right?
Many times you'll see kids who matured early, and thus have less upside down the road, do very well in HS. But they've probably hit their ceiling, or closer to it. Other times you'll have more raw players with more upside not do well but you can see a higher ceiling, so they're more likely to garner attention. Much like the NBA drafting on potential. Without seeing these kids it's hard to know, but it's very possible some of them have physical limitations that may make it possible to dominate their leagues, but not transfer over well to the next level. They can always prove themselves at the JC level, or lower D1.
Doesn't mean some don't prove the coaches wrong...that's for sure.

I would be comfortable to assert that MOST of the guys playing D1 basketball last year, OR next year, were never ranked in the top 150 players nationally. And some get to the NBA. They are out there and some will continue to be overlooked.
