What's the common thread with all but one of these schools? They all lost to the Aztecs the last time we played them (exception: ASU).

Aztecs lost K. Smith 2016 . Lobos had been talking about how great of a recruit he was for them . Now the likely hood of the Lobos signing him are Lo .
Interesting article the other day the states with the most recruits Texas, Florida , CA , NJ , GA . Texas , CA , Florida also have a large number of schools in those states to battle over recruits . Near the bottom the states of Wyoming , New Mexico and Idaho ( wonder what conference they are in )
On the positive side for the Lobos , believe they hired an assistant MBB coach from Nebraska

We haven't lost Smith........yet. They haven't lost Lightfoot......yet. They're just reopening their recruiting, though the numbers are probably pretty low for percentage of recruits who reopen their recruiting, then decide to sign with their original verballed-to school after all. Anyone know? Are there stats out there on that?
Either way, the trends seem to be saying the Lobos continue on a downswing recruiting wise, and we will be continuing on a gradual, steady upswing.

Anyone know? Are there stats out there on that? I'm sure it's a very low percentage. Trust is lost. We can't chance another Kevin Young situation. Anyway, I hope we land this Bailey kid instead. Rivals has him rated higher than Keith Smith. sports.yahoo.com/basketballrecruiting/basketball/recruiting/rankings/rank-rivals150/2016

I like Bailey more than Smith he is a better shooter/scorer. I think Keith is pretty much all Oregon. No way Mitch goes to UNM either

Coaches can not comment about a recruit until they Sign NLI , So nothing from any coach about any one . As noted in Zeigler article in the UT . Aztecs are moving forward until they hear something different from . Smith . As noted talking with Bailey but he is also talking with his home state teams BYU , Utah and also talked with the new ASU coach and the Zags . Going to be a battle to sign him . With the offers Lightfoot is now getting , seems doubtful he goes back to the Lobos unless he does not think he can compete with the players at the big name schools .

as the article says the assistant coach went from NW to the Lobos and Pinder will most likely follow him . He has good size and two years at the JC level so can play in 2015 .
