Yes. Below is from 2012. You will have to pay for this past seasons data. I will tell you that you will find it is the same - the Aztecs are much better from 3 than 2 point jumpers. www.hoop-math.com/SAN%20DIEGO%20STATE2012.htmlClick 2011 and notice that even Kawhi was better shooting 3s than 2 point jumpers. The only people in the building that want to see Shep shoot 3s is Aztecbill and the team we are playing. You are funny. I said I would rather he shoot 3s than mid range jumpers. I also wouldn't be too sure he won't come back next year and knock down 3s at a 35%+ rate. I want Shepard driving to the basket and getting fouled.

Your fascination with the 3 at the expense of the mid-range game is funny. First of all, Aztec fans want to see the ball go in the basket. Although we are all Aztec fans, watching our team on offense has been brutal lately. X brought life to the word "offense" last year, but the year before that we had to watch Jamaal go ISO with 30 seconds left, take the clock down to 3-4 and then either put up a 27% trey, or drive on 4 guys hoping to get bailed out. That is bad basketball. In fact many college teams have been hard to watch on offense recently exactly because of your formula for scoring. How did Pete Maravich score 44 (I know it would have been 60 with the 3) points per game without the 3 point shot? Michael Jordan scored 61 points in a playoff game without shooting a single 3, even though it was available. MJ just knew where he was most efficient on the court, and he took those shots (mostly mid-range). Not every college player can shoot the 3 like Steph Curry and never will. Shep's most intriguing shot, and the one that will get him to the NBA, is that 12-18 footer where he rises above a defender and drains it. Shoot that at 40+percent plus improve his inside game and he gets there. You make Shep a 3-point guy and every team we play will back off and let him shoot it, just like they did this year. The idea of "just get Kawhi's shooting coach" just doesn't translate. KL is a unique individual who made it work with the coaching. Watch the Spurs who are arguably the best passing, and efficient scoring, team in history. See how many mid-range baskets they get. Geez why doesn't Pops follow your fuzzy stats formula for offense?? Aztec fans want to see 2 things. They want to see the ball move and they want to see the ball go in the basket. Your strategy for offense is a formula for a "clank fest".

You write bad things about shooting 27% from 3 and positively about 40% from 2. You do realize 27% from 3 scores more points? The fact that Kawhi scored better from 3 than mid-range, during the Aztecs 34 win season, should make you pause and think about your position.
