The Aztec starters averaged 7.2 points per man vs. BSU.
The BSU starters also averaged 7.2.
Their bench outscored ours by ten points.

This thread has been such an epic mix of trolling and idiocy. I can lock it, but then it would probably rise like a Phoenix from the ashes as another thread! What to do, what to do??

What's surprising to me is that this team doesn't run. A few weeks ago, it seems like they "tried" it and it worked well (I think it was vs. CSU?). The "running-the-shot-clock-down-and-jacking-up-a-shot" thing hasn't really worked all year, especially when we don't have a legit scoring threat (if only Fish would let Pope loose...). i was thinking this the next day after the game. maybe its time to push the action up the court and run a little bit more as opposed to slowing things down ALL the time and grinding out half court sets. this might change a bit of the mindset and lead to more free throw opportunities. of course we would have to make those. "But if we run, this won't allow our guys to get back on defense!" That's unfortunately what the "detractors" think, but I think we're coached well enough and athletic enough that our transition D would be fine. You know, for being one of the most athletic, if not, the most athletic team in the conference, this team certainly doesn't get to show it often...

Once again Durant gets the ball whereas Pope doesn't.

Once again Durant gets the ball whereas Pope doesn't. When he gets an open shot opportunity, he doesn't pass them up either. Pope did several times. But, that's Fisher's fault, huh?

Once again Durant gets the ball whereas Pope doesn't. Please stop CTap, for your own sake. Once again, one is the NBA MVP who has avg over 17 pts per game for 8 straight years in the league, and avg 25 pts and 11 Rebs per game in college. The other is a college freshman who has scored double digits 3 times in his collegiate career. Do we understand, Durant avg 25 and 11 in college, Pope has not scored 25 once in his career yet. Pope has much potential but there is no comparison between him and Durant, just stop it!
