Are Rutherford of Grossmont and Cummins of Escondido of interest to the Aztecs? Have they played against Ayton and the other SD big?

Believe Brandon McCoy , 6'9"of Morse High , rated #36,4 star, is supposed to be a quality big .

Doubt we are after Rutherford too seriously - would seem to be a major fall back option behind some of the others with offers right now. If you watch highlights though, the kid has great footwork, very polished for his age and is a decent shot blocker. Just doesn't seem to be the type of player our staff really goes after. Slightly undersized (but could certainly still grow) and not the best athlete - but has a nice drive and slam at the 3:25 mark in the video against Morse below. His offense is very advanced for a young big man, comfortable going left or right. With added muscle he will likely be a decent post player somewhere, 3-4 years from now.
Against rival Helix a month ago.
And here he is going against Morse and their center McCoy who we are after for 2017.

It looks like he needs to build strength and stamina! I don't know he will get an invite from Coach Fish. www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-pULy7Q1Lg

guys seem to have skills but it is difficult to judge the taller players when they do not play against other quality taller players .

Rutherford signed with UCI and will be an 'Eater' along with my #1 son.
BTW, UC Irvine's first meeting against Kansas will be televised Dec. 29 on ESPNU at from Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kan.
UCI and Boise State will open the Wooden Legacy on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 26) at 1:00 p.m. at Titan Gym on ESPNU. The Eaters are getting TV time, wished that they would have upset Louisville in the NCAAs. Now thats a story/
