Now a win on Saturday cliches at least a share of the MW Championship Does a win also clinch the 1-seed in the MWCT? (I don't know the tie-break math) If so, also huge, as the current bracket is set up sweetly for the #1.

What a wacky season for Fresno St. They lose to frikkin Marist in OOC. Then become giant killers (SDSU, BSU, Wyoming) in MWC conference play. At this juncture, Fresno St. is not in the MWC play-in game. UNLV and New Mexico are. Who would've thunk it when conference play started? But...this kind of stuff is what makes this the most wonderful time of the year! Further evidence that the MWCT is going to be equally wacky and might be the best ever. Can't wait!

Fresnos RPI is now under 200, at 195. Helps us a lot as they are no longer a bad loss. When we lost to Fresno I was frustrated, but also believed they were going to be a .500 team in conference. Harris alone is too good for them not to be a decent team. They were going to be a team that came together late and ultimately, although still a tough loss, we wouldn't be the only ones who fell victim to them. Glad to see that's turning out to be true. The fact they beat BSU says enough.
FSU isn't a bad basketball team. They have scorers, and can be dangerous. They're a threat to win 3 in a row come Vegas.
If they win their next 2, their RPI could rise to 180-ish. I don't think they beat BSU in Boise, but they could beat a Wyoming, UTU or even CSU for that matter on day 1 in Vegas, which would boost them even higher.
At the end of the day they're an average team (160-180 range) IMO, not a bad team nor a terrible loss on their home floor.

Rush the court for a clinching a "share" of the championship? will they really cut down nets? I don't think so. Not with two games to play and an outright championship still on the line.

Tied with - resultBoise State - Split, advantage with USU and Wyoming, CSU equal. Colorado St. - Split, advantage with Wyoming, BSU and USU equal. Utah State - Head up advantage Wyoming - Head up advantage Any multiple ties gives us the nod because of our sweep of Wyoming. The only other sweep was Wyoming over CSU but that won't fly in a 3 way tie, because we swept Wyoming.

There is no way Coach Fisher would want the fans to storm the court if we win on Saturday . Enjoy the victory as the players come toward the Show . There could be a possibility to do it in a planned manner the following Saturday and with senior day make it even more special . We are a Basketball Program that has risen to an area where we need to totally finish a conference schedule before we celebrate anything .

I was thinking the exact same thing. This might be one of the best MWCTs ever. With us sitting on the top of the mountain, the teams below us are very evenly matched. 3 of which beat us in conference. And to think one of the lowly play-in teams beat ARIZONA! It's going to be fun! (wish I could make the trip ...$#!+!)

Other than the hate, This reminds me of the BYU game. Let's hope for a better outcome. We are certainly better on D than that team. It does. And, on a slightly different level (since that game matched two highly ranked teams), there is some similarity in how these teams match up to how those two teams matched up.

Do NOT rush the court. I'd rather see it when finalized against Nevada next week. You don't rush the court for a shared title a week before it's actually won, especially in a crummy conference with no real drama involved.

Rushing the court wouldn't be warranted given a team we're expected to soundly beat, even if it clinches the title. Surrounding the court and chanting support for the team as they come out to cut down the nets gets a two-thumbs-up though.

64-59 Fresno. Take care of business Aztecs and we're back on top of the mountain! Time to bet BSU's ass on Saturday and claim another conference championship! Go Aztecs!

I am still a little salty about the game in Boise. I don't just want a win, but an emphatic statement beatdown like when they put the wood down to Wyoming and Colorado State at Viejas.
Look for the Aztecs to play at a completely different level defensively than they did at Boise and the Fat Australian Dude is not going to have any room to operate is my guess.
