Did Belichick and Brady deflate The Show last night?

Damn good idea to send them to the ticket office/will call whatever and donate them to someone that will fill the seats. Two other ways... 1. You can login to your GoAztecs account and email the tickets to someone. 2. You can use the mobile app to view your tickets, screen capture them, and email or text them to someone. (Scanned at the gates like a regular ticket) Didn't realize we could do this. Thanks for the tip Adam! I knew we could email them but thought they always had to print them. Didn't know they could just show their phone and scan from there.

I'm thinking you're presuming the empty seats were all blue hairs. Your source for this is ? And I noticed from my vantage point, from the end opposite the student section , that they were sitting on several occasions when the fight song was played.. They're almost always standing for that, as am I in one of the semi-blue hair sections. Not a rousing crowd at times, that's for sure!

Yup, go here on your mobile phone: oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/m/sdsu/EN/account/login?team=sdsu&l=ENLogin to your account, it'll show you games you have tickets for. Select the game and click the little arrow icon. It'll show you the mobile ticket. If you have an iPhone it'll allow you to add it to your Passbook or save it as an image. Works great!

Funny or not, I was thinking the same thing about "the Show" last night. So yeah, it's not the same group of constantly screaming crazies that it used to be - but then I started thinking about it and I can't ever remember when it WAS a group of constantly screaming crazies.
I guess what I'm saying is that after you see, hear, read, watch, all the hype, you begin to believe it, even if it never really happened that way. As some in the thread mentioned, the whole game was pretty flat. I think the few - and I mean FEW - times that something on the court happened to get the crowd out of its collective seat, I was watching. And the Show was always on top of it. I saw some in my section standing along with me, but then they'd look around - almost embarrassed - and sit back down. I wanted to scream "FER FSCKS SAKE - STAY UP AND SCREAM - IT'S OK - THAT'S WHY WE'RE HERE!!!".
But not last night, apparently.
I'd give the Show a pass on this game. Wait until it matters and they really DON'T show up. It won't happen. Coach said he was impressed that the student section was full and stayed that way the whole game. He mentioned that he doesn't always look around to check attendance, but he knew the Show was there in force.
We had an empty seat last night because of some winter virus action at home. Apparently, had I not texted a picture of the minimal crowd at tip-off, the smaller than normal crowd would never have been believed. I guess the televised crowd (the Show) was pretty much the only section that was shown during the game. It appeared on TV that it was a full house. So at least on the national stage, the Show kept the rest of place from looking empty.
We should all thank "the Show" for that.

Perhaps the old show should be invited back for a game. Fisher did it a number of years ago for an important game. Don't remember the opponent, but the Aztecs won. They were there in the front rows, not in costume but in effort. The half a dozen or so that got it all started, and named the student section, the Show, should get a little recognition from the newest version. From where I was sitting Tuesday, looked like the student section was emptying out sooner than the gray/blue hairs. Too many empty seats away from the student section. Sell or give away your unused tickets. 12000 full seats, not just sold seats.

Who is it that doesn't know what they are talking about? www.goaztecs.com/sports/m-baskbl/recaps/123109aac.htmlOn how many teams the MWC can get in the NCAA Tournament: "We are playing one of the best teams in America on the 5th. We are going to need all of our fans to help make this the kind of homecourt venue it has become. We will have our fans full. This is as good of basketball as you are going to see in the United States. We need basketball fans and Aztec fans here. We are not going to have 3,000 students from The Show here. The one thing that would be neat would be to have some of the old timers that were here years ago to put the banana uniform on and sit with The Show. I am hoping that we will have people fill up that section and be remindful of the fact that it is a responsibility to cheer our team."

When it comes to Aztec fans in general, the crowds at Viejas should be called the "No-Shows".
We've barely even had a sellout capacity crowd for over 50 games in a row.

I honestly think that ticket brokers control those empty seats and hope the admins figure out how to eliminate that aspect and get the tickets back in the hands of Aztecs and their fans.

There were multiple shots of the Show during the telecast. In a lot of them, they were either sitting or standing around. Some staring into their cell phones. Or the dude with the hat was trying to score...who I can't blame. Yeah, Sombrero dude was trying to score with a girl several levels above. Best of luck to him, kudos for the effort. She was way better than solid. Winning in situations like that is a building block for a successful business career. :-)

The images on the Show website used to be something everyone waited to see each week... last update was the NCAA game with Mal and Tapley. Been slackin for a couple of years there.
They used to be more like a crazy international soccer hooligan fan base, dressing like it was Marti Gras, singing, chanting, waving flags and banners, Aztecs Bombaye... it may have not been the entire game, but Now it appears a good portion of the signs are thrashed from being recycled along with the same 3 generic chants clap clap clap...
I remember the Show and the Pitt student section going at over who was better, and the Zoo that has been a great section for a long time called out the Show as a new fad that would fizzel out.... Need to step it up and prove em wrong!

Only one man's opinion - my letter grades for this year's SHOW are:
Energy/Ability to get the crowd involved: A-
Creativity: D
The low creativity grade is based on the fact I can't think of anything new the SHOW has done this year that they haven't done in past years.

I really don't know what people expect...a Ringling Brothers circus act...The Show is there to provide overwhelming support for the team...which it does quite effectively...not to entertain people sitting on their hands...when I read quotes from the opposing team and coaches...they always say The Show and the "atmosphere" turned the tide against them...that's good enough for me.

I dont mind brokers buying up our tickets but they better get rid of them because there are so many people that want to watch our games in SD but can't afford the ticket prices that they are asking. Then the tickets are left unused which sucks cause we see empty seats everywhere in the arena.

Wow, I get a different read on "The Show" completely. First of all, they are there to support the team, and enhance their own experience either as students or rabid local Aztec supporters. They are not there to provide entertainment for the rest of the crowd. I, for one (I sit in section P) enjoy having my seats in close proximity so some of their youthful exuberance might rub off. I think they have been representing quite well this entire season. It's hard to be up for every game, and in the case of the FSU game, "The 6th Fan" aspect didn't have to be evoked, but if it would have been necessary, I believe they would have led the crown right back into the game. If you want to pick on someone, pick on the people leaving behind the Aztec basket during game time, these people suck. They should not be allowed to exit during active game time. Some ushers could stop them until a break in action such as time outs, etc. The Show rocks, nobody has a legitimate right to criticize them, except for maybe Chet, and he probably never would.

The lack of an original, coherent plan from The Show to defeat ISIS makes it clear that the current batch of "students" are lacking in talent.

They could have a system that when the ticket is scanned it keeps track that your seat is occupied for that game. If your seats aren't occupied for some percentage of the games for the season you lose out on the opportunity to buy season tickets next year. Having season tickets isn't a right, it's a privilege.
