I've seen some people speculate as to the starting PG next year and thats an easy question to answer go look at Jeremy Hemsley highlights he's a great ball handler, passer, super athletic,he has nba size foe the 1 or 2,he can score and he has defensive awareness to me he looks like a slightly bigger much more athletic version of trey kell except he has more natural skills as a PG. I'm very excited to see the combination of hemsley and kell next year and think it has the chance to be the greatest guard pairing in aztec history much like I think pope and cheatem have the chance to be the most talented forward pairing in aztec history.Anyways its a golden age in aztec basketball so excited for the present and future of the program.

It's very exciting to watch highlights of our very highly regarded recruits. But to say that Jeremy Hemsley is the "easy answer" to who will start next year at PG? That's a very bold statement with DW and Zabo returning.

Until proven, I'll go with a current player given the adjustments the new recruits are having to make this year. May not be much different for Germ.

I think we all agree that Kell should be a SG but who knows what the coaches decide. Not to take anything away from DW and KZ but Hemsley is coming in with a whole different level of buzz. When you follow his games on Twitter and scouts & local media mention McDonald's AA and future pro you get excited and then we he completely takes over the game you can't wait. If he gets in early during the summer and can pick things up quickly he'll have a very good shot at starting. His game is really taking off and Im sure we'll see his ranking jump big at the end of the season.

Some high praise from his coach. Good to see. Plus, sounds like he went head to head with Lonzo Ball, who's no lightweight by any stretch of the imagination.
No idea if he starts next year, but I've heard some pretty high praise about him from a couple of the coaches. Almost to the point they implied he could be the starter. However, thinking someone will make the transition well & actually doing so are 2 different things, obviously.
I have a feeling DW/KZ and/or even TK won't be handing the job to him.

I have yet to see Hemsley play in person, but a source tells me that he will start as a Freshman for San Diego State next season. Based on what I have read, Hemsley had several BIG TIME D1 Scholarships offers and chose San Diego State! This is a testament to Fisher and his staff building San Diego State into a premier College Basketball program over the last 15 years!
Williams and Zabo do not stand a chance against Hemsley. Williams and Zabo will have a tough decision to make after this season, to stay at San Diego State for the duration of their College careers or go elsewhere to play. Kell will be in the starting line-up with Hemsley, along with Shepard and possibly Chol and Spencer manning the paint. Shrigley and Cheatham will most likely come off the bench. Allen will most likely decide to stay at San Diego State for the duration. Hemsley appears to be a ball-dominant type player with a nice skill set, which is what San Diego State needs in order to make SDSU offense go.
I still like Zabo, but it seems to me that he may not return to San Diego State after this season. It would be nice if Zabo stayed, but he does not strike me as a player that is going to sit on the bench for the next three (3) years! Again, from what I have read and heard about Hemsley, he is extremely aggressive offensively!

I think Helmsley is a very athletic high quality guard that could be a major contributor here , But remember will be a freshman , and as we have seen they have a learning curve on the transition from HS to College ball , especially if he is a PG . He is a great 4* guard , hope he is MCD AA but there are 8 five star guards and at least 15 to 20 four star guards rated higher then him . by Rivals and ESPN, guards signed by Kentucky , Arizona, Duke, Louisville , UCLA .... He very well could be getting major minutes ,lets see in the fall . Also hope he plays D also .

Two points: 1. Wasting breath and brain to worry about next year's PG. 2. We will need a freshman big man to develop behind #3 and #0.

Last year at this time, every one was already talking about the new recruits and transfer rather then the team that was going to MM . Same thing this year , let's stay focused on the current team , see what happens with the current roster , MW and then hope to be in MM in the West , get to SW16 . Then we can analyze current players and recruits for 2015 -16 season .

I feel that our team is just starting to come together and our coaches are figuring out how to manage the rotation of our deep lineup. There is no question about the heart of our team, just need to keep improving then anything can happen in MM. This team can hang with anyone. That said, excited for the future of our program, but more focused on this season.
