Actually, AztecWilliam, Tom Ables said he did miss one bowl. That was in 1951 the Pineapple Bowl. He missed it because he didn't have enough money to travel over to Hawaii, but it is the only one he missed.

The inaugural 2005 Poinsettia Bowl game matched Navy Midshipmen against the Colorado State Rams; Navy won 51–30. It had attendance of 36,842.[2] The 2007 game matched the Utah Utes against the Navy Midshipmen; Utah won, 35–32. That year's attendance was 39,129.[2] The 2010 game matched the San Diego State Aztecs against the Navy Midshipmen. San Diego State won 35–14. That year's attendance was 48,049. 2012: Though the attendance of 35,442 for the game wasn’t close to what the crowds were for the height of San Diego State’s rivalry with BYU, the Poinsettia’s executive director, Bruce Binkowski, said he was very pleased with the showing. And the 2010 game was the same one where the stadium crew was still pumping out the place hours before game time…

Correct, except that the Pineapple Bowl, unless I am mistaken, was not an official bowl sanctioned by the NCAA. Same for the Mirage Bowl in the '80s against Air Force in Japan. That was actually a WAC game. At least I think I have that correct. AzWm

Maybe a thousand. No way 7K I agree, you have to commit to go to a game in Qualcomm, whereas Petco you may go because you were having a beer at the Kilt next door and said "Why not?". But if this board is any indication of how many have jumped off the bus, 35k would be great IMO. You mean this bus?

The paper said this morning that 33,000 tickets had been sold so far and I'm sure they'll get a decent walk-up. Looking forward to a tough game and all the good stuff that goes with this bowl!

Actually I have attended Jr Rose Bowl game. Also Pasadena Bowl against Boston Univ, as I recall. Also went to Holiday Bowl. Great game, but unfortunate loss to Iowa. Too bad we cannot play in Holiday Bowl.
