MW .500 or better: 8/11 RPI Forecast: 28 CSU 31 SDSU 58 Boise State 62 Wyoming 111 New Mexico 160 Air Force 165 Utah State 171 UNLV 269 Fresno State 271 Nevada 325 SJSU
In-Conference Games: 0-25: 0 25-50: 2 50-100: 4 300+: 1
A couple unexpected UNM, Boise, and CSU wins would greatly help, could be similar to the year we beat UNLV x3 to knock them out of top 50 RPI in that losing one game to CSU, Boise, or UNM in conference may help us come tourney seeding time
For Comparison
Big West .500 or better: 4/9 81 UCSB 95 Long Beach State 146 UC Irvine 156 UC Davis 223 Hawaii 230 UC Riverside 280 CSU Fullerton 287 CSU Northridge 299 Cal Poly
In-Conference Games: 0-25: 0 25-50: 0 50-100: 4 300+: 2 (CP just lost)

Thanks for posting this. Dang, there are a few eyesores this year at the bottom of both conferences. Couple things:
- Hawaii hosts Nebraska in the Diamond Head Classic and will either play LMU or Wichita State after that. Their RPI could earn a nice little bump if they upset the Cornhuskers and draw a top-50 Wichita squad.
- Nevada may end up in the 300's as well. They just lost at home to CSU Fullerton.

Fresno has wins over Cal Poly and the defending regular season BW champs UC Irvine. The BW-projected 7th and 8th place teams, Cal State Fullerton and UC Davis, are a combined 5-1 vs the bottom of the MW.

Man, excluding the Aztecs, it sure looks like the Big West is a relatively equal conference to the Mountain West this year. Add the Aztecs and Boise to the Big West and it may even be stronger? Who would have predicted that when we were all arguing about how the potential move to the Big West was going to kill basketball? I mean UOP beats Fresno State and UC Davis beats Air Force last night - C'mon man!! The Big West has been whoopin up on the dregs of Mountain West all year so far. Could UNLV be any worse?
Just realized UOP is no longer in the Big West - but the point remains.

UNLV and NM are having down years. I don't expect that to be normal. It is unlikely that BW will ever have the long-term RPI that the MW does. There may be some years we are closer like this year. I really doubt this will be the norm. BW has too many really crappy teams.
