Does anyone really think he would take an 800K salary when he can get around 3 mil elsewhere?

It's a satirical point. He wasn't serious.

When did we get $10 million saved up to pay his salary? We are rich, money is not an issue. He'd only cost 8 million however. Plus assistants...$10M

I say we go for Bill Belichick...he's washed up in New England...plus he has a much better personality than Harbaugh...(and miles ahead of Coach Long)
On the negative side...he is a horrible judge of talent...especially marginal talent like Brady, Welker, Moss...plus he's always had trouble with kickers...so we'd be in the same situation we are today...
We need a "household name"...someone that people know and trust...Belichick is our man...

If SDSU agrees to rename itself The University of Harbaugh at San Diego then it's a done deal.

The Raiders, where coaches go to kill their careers. He ain't going to Oakland, no coach looks at that place as an opportunity, even with Al Davis fertilizing the grass now. Harbaugh will go to Michigan. He may one day come back to the pros but if he is successful at Michigan he would likely make more money staying put there. It's pretty well known that Harbaugh's wife loves the Bay Area and doesn't want to leave. Oakland has a head coach opening and with Al Davis gone, Harbaugh will be given more control. He'll take the job, just watch. He's NOT going back to the college level. This is actually something that has been in the works for several weeks now.

As I had posted in the appropriate area as this is apparently a fantasy land thread, it appears Harbaugh is set to go to Michigan. Again, as John Saunders had pointed out, the next Michigan coach could be the next Bo. Whereas NFL HC positions open on a yearly basis. So why not? The ramifications for Charger fans could involve Utah AD Chris Hill and Coach Kyle Whittingham parting ways and Hill approaching McCoy to return to his alma mater. Again, why not?

My sources say that Harbaugh is willing to come here but only to be an assistant to Brady Hoke. With that assurance he is willing to tell Michigan to take their $48M and shove up their fullback. He is that pissed that Michigan fired a Michigan guy.
