The only other team out west that has a chance to be a #1 seed would be gonzaga (if we win with no bad losses). I'm just a crazy fool for thinking that way - got it! |

It would probably be more accurate to say that a win would give us a legitimate claim on a #1 seed in the West if we continue to take care of business. Early big wins can be counterbalanced by stubbing your toe too often during the rest of the season.
The road to the #1 seed definitely goes through Arizona and a win over them would put us in the debate. Then it would be a case of holding on to it.

I guess I should have used better word choice..... Arizona is not afraid. Neither team is afraid. A win will provide an early lock on a number 1 seed for either team and a loss by either team will not be detrimental. Arizona actually enjoys the game. You know Aztecs do. has |
