They've been tiresome for years. The QB has 326 yards and a 152 rating and they complain. Absurd. "WE WANT BAWDEN." They all gave up at halftime when we were a WHOLE POINT behind. And then they decide, in their "brilliance" that everyone else is a loser! They epitomize they very thing that they criticize. Thank God our coaches and players are made of sterner stuff. Go Aztecs![/quote Well said. The first 12 pages of the game thread were embarrassing. Such a negative group here for the most part. GO AZTECS Get off my lawn, you punk kids...

#54 Munson pick six for 56 yards. Pearson is worse then QK. Munson puts the M in MVP. The two QBs are entirely different. Pearson is an great option QB. He got smacked around tonight. His passes in the late part of the game were way off target because he had to scrape himself off the turf so many times.

QK - 326 yards, 152 rating. He still has a weak arm, can't make simple reads, chokes in the red zone and tonight his WR made him look good. Rocky just said he was pretty good and missed reads on the post game. I am not the only one. Damn Man. You must be a blast at parties. I don't understand why people get so down on QK. This guy is actually overachieving. He did not get a scholarship offer by any D1 school coming out of high school, so goes to JC for two years, walks on at SDSU and earns the starting job last year and stays good enough to remain ahead of several other guys who did get D1 scholarships. The guy shouldn't even be here, but he is. Has thrown some bad INTs but dusts himself off and trots back out there and makes a great play on another chance. You think he enjoys those bad mistakes he has made? I am sure it kills hi. But he dusts himself off and trots back out there and does what he can do to help the team. He is overachieving. I have enormous respect for this guy. If you want to take your hate out the on somebody, then blame the coaches for not having found and developed a higher level QB, but QK is what he is and what he has pulled off here is probably a sign of a guy who is going to have a very successful life. I, for one, will be proud for him to be a fellow Aztec for Life.

Key to victory: Only play one horrible quarter rather than one horrible half. Props to Rocky for once again stopping the option. As Randy Cross pointed out during the broadcast, Rocky was an option QB at UNM and understands it as well as any coach out there. Maybe Boise's new DC should pay Rocky for some off-season lessons in how to defend it.

There wern't 28K but I'd guess 22 - 24K Well after watching the game on the tube rather than attending as I normally do, I now understand why so many fans of other conference schools mock our attendance on the MWC board. In that oversized stadium, it never looks to have anywhere near as many people on TV as is actually the case.

NOT a fan of Friday games. Trying to get ANYWHERE in San Diego County on a Friday afternoon is brutal.
Brutal, I tell ya.

MAYBE there were 23K before half time...but once all the families watched their kids do stupid dancing on the field, the stadium emptied out...essentially all of field level was gone. Student section EMPTY.

However, the loss at UNR seemed to have completely deflated the interest of all but probably those with friends on the team.

Because if we had a solid Qb who was healthy and used a real defensive scheme we would be undefeated. We have more talent than anyone we have played minus Qb and coach.
It's frustating to think of where we could be

Because if we had a solid Qb who was healthy and used a real defensive scheme we would be undefeated. We have more talent than anyone we have played minus Qb and coach. It's frustating to think of where we could be I've watched parts of several UNC games since we lost to them and I honestly think if we had their QB and they had ours that we would have beaten them by three TDs. But it wasn't just QK who hurt us in that one, it was Bob Toledo. Yeah we scored 27 points that day but until holding Duke to 20 yesterday, UNC had given up at least 27 to every opponent, including 29 to Liberty of all schools. Take away SDSU and Liberty and UNC is giving up a whopping 42 ppg. In other words, we scored 15 less points than the Tar Heels typically give up. That's just one game but really, other than early on in a number of games, our offense hasn't been impressive all year. So although I don't agree with you about the defense, I just don't think Toledo has done a good job and would love to see him decide to retire.

This is a thanks to all who commented and participated on this thread. I was unable to watch the game and was otherwise incapacitated at the hospital last night. Didn't have this channel to watch the game. But I was able to read things on my Samsung Galaxy 4. I could only catch (actually focus) a quick read every 30 minutes or so. I also was successful in not looking at the score if it was posted on this thread. Just by reading the comments, I could feel the emotion, hear the crowd, get everybody's opinion and have a feel for which way the game was heading (until mostly thru the 4th quarter, then I figured out the pending result). Maybe the meds had something to do with the touchy feely stuff. Even with all this interesting slant to getting the game rundown, I am going to go back to watching on TV or attending the game. Thanks Everybody G^3

I will read the posts that are made after the game is over when, sometimes, a little sanity returns.
