I'm from LA but don't care a about pro nba ball. But I remember going to a playoff game vs the timberwolves 4-5 years ago & laker fans were booing the lakers. One thing fisher praises the show about is that they never give up. They provide CONTINUOUS ENCOURAGEMENT. I heard rumblings of utter frustration from fans tonight & trust me I understand the feeling. I saw myself doing a little bit of that during the Utah game. I drive down from OC for 90% of the games, inducing tonight! Anyways just something to remember, these are unpaid college kids. In the future years they may get stipends but for now the players are playing for maybe a free scholarship & free housing (some with aspirations to play overseas or in the NBA). That is all!

You saw one Laker playoff game against the Twolves 4-5 years ago (actually it had to have been 2003) where you remember an incident where we sucked and booed the team, so don't be like the lakers?
This is the most random dig/reach post ever.

Was there booing last night against the team? BTW, 15 minutes into the game is when we hit 20 points...AGAINST BAKERSFIELD! Maybe there should have been some booing...

This is the most random dig/reach post ever. No booing last night. It was more like a bear in hibernation. That deep breathing that bears do. That's what it sounded like in Section P. You ok with that?

I heard a few boos when the Aztecs missed some easy shots. Totally uncalled for.

I do not condone booing college kids. In sports no player or coach wants to hear boos. But, when play deserves boos, its many times what is necessary to light a fire under the teams ass. Pressure brings out the real players. And if there is one place where there is pressure to perform it is LA. I hope us Aztecs always keep it upbeat and positive but also keep the energy of expectation on tge team to not win or lose but to perform their hardest. THAT is what LAKERS fans do ; )

This is the most random dig/reach post ever. Agreed. I was at Friday's game against the Spurs when Kobe had the worst shooting night of his career and the Lakers stunk out loud yet I didn't hear a single boo.

I would not boo college players myself unless they are on the other team. Your reference to Lakers fans reminds me of a quote from the late, great announcer, Chick Hearn.
He would say this when either the Lakers, or the opposing team was having a terrible shooting night, " Man, they are shooting so bad they can't even throw a pea in the ocean!"
Unfortunately, both Tuesday, and last night that's what the Aztec team looked like on offense. Good thing the defense was so tight.

Yeah, I don't get too excited about keeping cupcake teams to low point totals...that's a basic expectation I guess. I do have problems when we can't hit uncontested shoots with regularity. We better wake up before Maui. In Fish I Trust.

Expectations are lower, therefore less conflict

I don't know - Laker fan seems to be quite content with him hogging all the money and shots. So I am confused. To me that seems like they are a happy fan base.
