Quinn has been probably the biggest pleasant surprise of the season so far. We knew the kid could shoot, and I expected him to be that "sparkplug off the bench" guy, but never expected the defensive intensity and effectiveness out of him. And he's showing the kind of "I want the rock in crunch time" attitude, combined with the ability to hit paydirt with it, that he's starting to look like this year's DPIII "6th man of the year", if he doesn't parlay it into a starting gig first.

After the last two games, Fish won't pull Kell. AQ is a great influence in the locker room at on the court. He's turning 23 this year and that kid has lived a few lives in those 23 years. Bless that kid, he has heart. Education is his greatest accomplishment, I just hope he can help out his mother, she deserves a little something.

We've had 4 leading scorers in 5 games so far. AQ was it twice.

I used to do color commentary for UC Riverside's basketball team, and I saw AQ play for CSUN as a freshman. I was not impressed at all.
I thought there was no way he would get playing time when he came to SDSU. Man, has he proven me wrong. It's been a long time since I've seen a player improve as much as he has. He looked overmatched in the Big West, but he's developed into a legitimate scoring threat for one of the best teams in the country. I love seeing him succeed for us.

He's hit the open shot, drives the lane and guards tough. Good start to the season.

Did anyone see where AQ broke his hand? Tape? I don't recall seeing it.
