Which is more important, breathing in or breathing out?
Football and basketball has ALWAYS overlapped. You can cheer and attend games for both with very little overlap.
You only need to follow 1 school which plays something like 19 sports.

I am flying in from Bay Area for this game, with my brother-in-law who has never attended an SDSU mbb game. I've been touting the great student section, home court, etc. so I hope all seats are accounted for and that it will be a raucous event. The student section "The Show" is never the problem getting hyped...it's the other 10,000 people siting on their hands and hogging seats for their purses. When everyone is in their seats and participating like the UNM champ game...we have at least a 10pt home field advantage. Excuse me? I can say that The Show got very quiet during the UNM game last year when we got behind and, to me, it appeared the rest of the crowd didn't lose their enthusiasm at all. My section is just as into the game as anyone else in the arena. And it is a "home court advantage," not "home field."

Back to the OP, planning ahead is even now more crucial than ever! It sounds like very few fans will actually get to park anywhere NEAR campus. In my case, one of our fans doesn't get out of classes until 12:15. So getting there by tip-off was going to be tough even if we were able to park as usual. Now, we're probably not even going to be close to tip-off, since we'll have to depend on the Trolley and then walk over. I wonder how many others are going to be affected adversely by the parking situation.

Excellent use case for the trolley or Uber.
I'll be getting dropped off.
