The guy that writes this is a nut job ,but thanks for the other lists. Sixteen coaches over 60 interesting. Rocky is sixth highest paid Coach in this league. Or 6th lowest.

The really interesting thing to me is who Michigan will try to pick off when they replace Hoke at the end of the season... Do they try to go and get an up-and-comer at a lesser school...Holiday @ Marshall, Carey at N. Ill, Hudspeth @ La - Layfatte, Martin @ Miami, OH? (like they did with Hoke?) Do they try to poach an underpaid coach at another school...offering say $5M / yr to jump ship...Graham @ ASU, Hefritch @ OR, Kill @ MN? (like they did with Rich Rod?) Do they just throw gobs of money at the best coach available...offering $7-8M...Fisher @ FSU, Malzahn @ Auburn, Patterson @ TCU (like OSU did when they hired Meyer from FL...yeah I know...there was a year in between Meyer leaving FL and OSU hiring him) Choices Choices Choices They go after Harbaugh.

Aside from Doc Holliday, Pete Lembo and maybe a couple others, judged by dollars spent per victory, Rocky's the best bang for the buck in the country. So at least until SDSU is willing to bump up the salary of its head football coach by a minimum of half a million per year, we're very fortunate to have him.

You're probably right...but here's the rub... Harbaugh currently makes $5M / yr and is at the end of his contract... His brother makes $7M /yr. as well as 5 other current coaches in the NFL The 49ers aren't shy about spending money and IF they want to retain Harbaugh as a HC they could offer him something north of $7M... There is only one coach in college football that makes that kind of money...Nick Saben The big IF here is whether or not the 49ers want to keep him or not...no way Michigan wins a bidding war with the NFL so this won't be about money...

Was in SF last weekend for the WS. Waaaay too much talk that Harbaugh is gone not to be validity to it.
Wanna know whether he ends up at Michigan? Just wait to see if the Wolverines have hired anybody else before the Niners season is over.
But the money angle is a good one. My bet is Jimbo ends up with another NFL team. The Raiders anyone?
