Good grief I just saw Chris Petersen on the list & find it hard to believe that Rocky beat his a$$ the last 2 times they played and Petersen parlayed that into $3.4 million (4X Rocky's salary) at Udub. Amazing!

Rocky Long. 29-17 record at SDSU. A .630 winning %. #96 on that list
My advice- get used to him being here for as LONG as he wants.

Some of those even in the top 20 are ridiculous. David Shaw at #15? Get real.

Kevin Sumlin at #5 is even worse. Top 5 coaches maybe.

Sumlin, MacIntyre and Shaw are about the dumbest picks I've ever seen on Coaches Hot Seat and that's saying something.

Those salaries are crazy!! Rocky is a bargin in comparison at $850k, but it's still 850k. Gobsmacked....Saben 7mil, Stoops 5mil....Franchione at 400k is interesting. Babers at $500k, T Bowden at $425k make you think. Bowden would double his pay if he decided to, uh emmm....

Interesting that with 3 losses they consider him that safe on a National scale. Only one coach deemed safer with 3 losses.

The really interesting thing to me is who Michigan will try to pick off when they replace Hoke at the end of the season...
Do they try to go and get an up-and-comer at a lesser school...Holiday @ Marshall, Carey at N. Ill, Hudspeth @ La - Layfatte, Martin @ Miami, OH? (like they did with Hoke?)
Do they try to poach an underpaid coach at another school...offering say $5M / yr to jump ship...Graham @ ASU, Hefritch @ OR, Kill @ MN? (like they did with Rich Rod?)
Do they just throw gobs of money at the best coach available...offering $7-8M...Fisher @ FSU, Malzahn @ Auburn, Patterson @ TCU (like OSU did when they hired Meyer from FL...yeah I know...there was a year in between Meyer leaving FL and OSU hiring him)
Choices Choices Choices

How can Colorado State pay their head Basketball and Football Coaches more then us? They have more money than we do. For example, their endowment is double ours. Those who somehow think that CSU is an inferior school are kidding themselves. Go Aztecs!

Those who somehow think that CSU is an inferior school are kidding themselves. CSU is our academic SUPERIOR. However, I highly doubt they use any of their endowment for athletics. Rather, I think their now jettisoned AD pushed hard to increase their athletics budget to allow him to hire proven coaches like McElwain and Eustachy. And it's paid off. Both CSU football and men's hoops have improved significantly the last few years.

The guy that writes this is a nut job ,but thanks for the other lists. Sixteen coaches over 60 interesting. Rocky is sixth highest paid Coach in this league.
