They have them on the ramps Are they on the ramps facing I-8? I've never seen them, but then again, I am never on that side of the stadium (my season seats are in section 7).

SDSU has put up really cool past players banners around the ramps inside the stadium. But this idea is for banners to be placed in the same area the Chargers banners are up near the lights. Any day the Chargers are playing, you knew there is an event going on even from the freeway, because you saw all the different NFL teams logos around the stadium. How cool would it be to have the Logo and A Z T E C S spread out in the same way so that everyone can see, its College football in San Diego...

Yes!! That is a major improvement branding the stadium. It's time to make this idea happen. I need a second to make this happen.

Just an idea... & it may just be one way to put lipstick on a pig but... The Chargers have had NFL banners for years. Why not us? i think it could be cool, especially if its facing the freeway on gamedays... What you guys think, AztecMesa? picture sharepicture upload sitesGreat idea. Fantastic graphic work on the pictures. Thanks again for the avatar.

Paint the whole damn Q, red. With some torches, flames, volcanoes, human sacrifices and savages.
Ever seen Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom?

Oldie Out i'm definitely not opposed to human sacrifices... Especially if they are of the Bulldog, Lobo or terREBEL persuasion. But, AT THE VERY LEAST, Bring back the FIERY SPEAR the honorary Aztec Warrior slams into the ground. By the way, 'Temple of Doom' was the very first movie i ever seen in a movie theatre as a kid. That would make a great name for our future on-campus stadium. Right?

I would love to see the Warrior bring the fire again. It is up to Pesident Hershman. People need to organize and start a letter writing campain or even start a petition. I guarantee fire on the spear will make some positive noise in the community for SDSU.

And well, i'm in marketing & design, so these kind of things matter to me haha Matt you are absolutely correct. It is all about marketing and branding, and there is no better branding in Colege football than Traditions. There is a major reason why the small handfull of Alumni fought Dr. Weber on his hortible leadership with the mascot fiasco. Traditions at SDSU have been decimated by the last regime. The watered down warrior being the worst violation of all! If we want the Aztecs to make the move to the P5 then something needs to be done (besides winning) to ignite and energize to build a more solid fan base.

If we want the Aztecs to make the move to the P5 then something needs to be done (besides winning) to ignite and energize to build a more solid fan base. Right on. San Diego is such a laid back city, but also a professional city, that the spirit of College Traditions most times gets lost in the mix. Winning opens up so many doors to the public and instills pride, So hopefully that keeps up and the alumni can capitalize off that. This is just an idea i feel could make the brand more visible around the stadium. I really do feel it could be a cool addition. Of course digital, tv, radio and all that is growing each year so that will pay off more. As for the Aztec Warrior, i love it. i'm hispanic and am very proud of the 'montezuma' moniker. But sometimes at the games, some sweaty dude in a loin cloth and headdress is a bit much IMO. Maybe if he covered up a bit more, or if there was a Lady Aztec Warrior besides him, it could be pretty cool, and go over a bit better with the fans?

That should increase attendance. Of course my wife wouldn't let me go to the games any more.
