Isn't the current leader of Turkey a member of the Muslim Brotherhood? Turkey has taken a turn for the worse, it seems, and is on the verge of no longer being a reliable NATO partner.
Great! That's just what we need.

In fact, just today he lifted the ban on women wearing headscarves in school. He has also allowed more Islamic schools to open (actually changed from 'normal' schools). Students have been forced into the Islamic schools when they couldn't get into the regular schools for various reasons. This is scary since Turkey is a NATO member.

I thought Tayyip Erdogan was apart of the Muslim Brotherhood, but your right, the country is moving towards a more Islamic ideology. My brother was just there vacationing in Istanbul and the tour guides were begging that the western civilization would come in and intervene preventing an Islamic rise. Turkey will be a problem in the coming years.

I should have said that Erdogan was sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood. In any case, the Middle East just gets thornier and thornier. AzWm

Turkey is at a cross-roads, they cannot play the middle on this. They have a majority moderate muslim population that don't embrace the extremist ideology of the Islamists. Lets watch this one closely.
