You have to work smarter, not harder. yeah, I remember hearing that before, and I was like "what?" I guess that was part of the problem.

He may be a good route runner in general, but the coaching staff has said the route he ran was not a good one on that occasion. The article said Toledo admitted he shouldn't have thrown that pass. That pretty much absolves Mills. How about Toledo taking the blame for crappy play calling...that's where a good chunk of the blame goes.

C'mon guys what do you say to a kid that's giving you 110% EVERYDAY and who's exceeding your expectations after he makes a big mistake?
You say, great job kid but next time, do this instead of that....here's where you went wrong. Otherwise, great job, keep working hard & we'll get em next time.

You're being way too positive. Kidding aside, you're absolutely right. QK needs to do a better job, but tearing him down will only make matters worse. He's our freaking starting QB, so let's root for the young man!

How about Toledo taking the blame for crappy play calling...that's where a good chunk of the blame goes. I have to disagree respectfully. Most of the play calling was outstanding. They moved the ball well all game especially the last drive. The last play where his plan was to hit the receiver in the end zone or throw it away. That was pretty clear. I appreciate that he took responsibility but in context, it was a well-called game overall, IMO. Sent from my SM-G900V using proboards

time to put this in the rear view mirror . But as most of us would agree QK is seen a good decision maker IMO on this first down play correctly or incorrectly called , poorly executed by OL,QB and WR boils down to a decision by QK . He should have thrown it away . Many plays boil down to execution on all parts if there is a beak down then things can go wrong . You can call a play and if you do not get the block , or the runner or receiver make the wrong decision on their cut and the play was not called correctly . On this particular 1st down play the QB has the decision to try to make the play or toss it away , this time it should have tossed .All that is important now is that QK knows the coaches feel they can put the ball in his hands to make the correct decision going forward and he does it .

Toledo called a great game. I disagree with the last call, but it is what it is. We have a good coaching staff, and good players. We are going to beat Oregon State.

Our QB did not make his best play of the game, the receiver did not make his best play of the game, probably one or more linemen did not make their best play of the game. The NC defensive back DID make his best play of the game and, maybe, his best play of the year to make that interception. No one is giving any credit for a great catch and staying in bounds. I've said it before, he doesn't make that play more than 3 times out of 10.

The good thing is that the kid has played fairly well for us. As a game manager type of quarterback, he cannot have the kind of mental lapses that he had on three int's last week. With a gunslinger type of quarterback you take the good with the bad. Kaehler doesn't have the arm and game to play that style. He doesn't have the zip on the ball to "squeeze" a pass into a small window on a short field contested play. I think he learned a valuable lesson that he needs to play his game.
