Drug store that sells burgers....interesting Oh you kids. No appreciation for history. There was a time when every major drug store had a lunch counter with a fry cook/soda jerk. They usually made great burgers and the best milk shakes in the world. Then came Jack in the Box, McDonalds, etc. and all was lost. On another point. We seem to have a batch of Tar Heels posting here this week. So far there hasn't been a troll among them. What a nice change of pace from the UNM crowd. Anyone know the Tar Heels forum? I would love to visit their site.

I hope all you SDSU fans coming to the game on Saturday enjoy your experience. Chapel Hill has a small town feel and revolves around the University. Be sure to take time to walk up and down Franklin Street, buy some flowers from the flower ladies there ( a Chapel Hill tradition for years ). If you have time, stop in Southern Season in University Mall. It is very unique and well worth the trip. Just be careful not to get lost and end up in Dur-ham. You could end up at ..... dook.

Good luck during the game from a Tar Heel fan. Hopefully the ones coming will enjoy the trip to the east coast. I hope for a well played and injury free game. Safe flights for all. Thanks. Yes, let's hope for zero injuries! I've been to Bentonville!

It sounds like SDSU folks should have a nice time. UNC fans actually seem pleasant. We're not used to that!

I see steve is posting there...is that THE Steve of years past? Yes, and he still has to get his editorial comments in... I am on www.aztecstalk.com It has some of the most knowledgeable Aztec fans around. It tends to be a little slow at times. Most older and calmer. A place where you can chat. Moderated very well. (Translation: It's a morgue)You can also go to www.aztecmesa.com It is much busier, but a lot of rift/raft. There are some good posters there, but don't be surprised if you get slammed and baited often. It is just the way it is. Moderation leaves a lot to be desired (IMO). (Translation: If you don't allow us to set ourselves up for martyrdom, you leave a lot to be desired. And "rift/raft"? Really? You graduated from my school?)The other Steve doesn't like us either (though I side a little bit with his "uniform threads" swipe. steveem: A lot of old-timers who were football oriented jusleft the board, among them former players etc. The new crowd is all hyped on basketball and most know zip about football. It is all uniforms threads, new stadiums, and Joe Schmoe former point guard is now playing for the Bangladesh Torpedos in the Monsoon League. (I like hearing about the Joe Schmoes - they're called 'Aztecs for Life', ya know.)

Last week's game UNC vs Liberty Highlights. Just like back in the 90's, UNC has a mobile quarterback. That is my #1 fear. We never seem to be able to contain a running quarterback. Other than that, they seem to have really good speed in their secondary.
i think we stack up pretty well. Coach Rocky has his work cut out for him. If we can run the ball on offense, that will do wonders in this game.

Thanks for the link. I found it funny how East Coast Aztec said there that this board is full of homers when he once said on the MWC board that he doesn't post on AztecMesa because there's so much bickering here. He's a knowledgeable poster but seems like one strange guy. Also gotta love the half dozen Tar Heels who say you guys are going to put more than 50 points on the board. Our defense isn't great but it isn't that bad either and for those of you who haven't followed Rocky Long's teams, his offenses always chew up a lot of the clock so teams never run as many plays against us as they normally do. I predict the game will be close at the half but then UNC pulls away and wins by about 17.
