Interesting analysis. I get confused about why Israel should consider these "cease fire" charades.

Sherman was war criminal plain and simple this author fails to mention his orders to not discriminate between women children and combatants against the plains Indians. His bummers robbed everyone poor ,rich even slaves. |

There is a fine line between conqueror and liberator. Without Sherman's total war concepts, the Civil War probably lasts 2-5 years longer than it did. It was the end of chivalry and the beginning of modern industrial warfare.

In war, the winners are praised and rewarded whereas the losers are tried as war criminals. For the same acts.
To the victors, go the spoils.
May not be right but this has gone on for as long as man has been on earth.

One thing that you may want to consider is that we also did some things that may be thought of as unacceptable in WWII. For instance, we used unrestricted submarine warfare against the Japanese. Pretty much because of that, such tactics were not included in the charges against Rader and Doenitz. We could hardly accuse them since we had done the very same thing.

Vae Victus,it goes back along way. only thing that gets my goat is the purification of War as a Just Cause. There was no Just cause in the Civil War,for either side. I honor the sl oldiers and civilans who suffer not ploticans who caused it.
