Good to see a kid choose us over Arizona. I may be mistaken but I don't believe that he has ever had an offer from Arizona. Arizona St yes but the Cats, no.

I wouldn't assume the Aztecs will stop at 3 recruits. Yup.

Great pickup. He'll barely play his freshman year behind Chol and Spencer. Give him time to adjust to the pace and physicality of D1 basketball.

Good kid, nice rebounder and shot blocker but will need to develop offensive skills at the D1 level. It looks like Ernest Afalkpui is not coming to San Diego. He was the more superior choice and has had a better summer on the circuit.

Zona, Oregon and Colorado all offered during or shortly after his freshman year, there is a question whether or not he still has an offer from Zona.

This kid was a Top 10 rated recruit after his freshman year, who slipped a little and then blew up in the top event of the summer in Vegas. Zona offered him as a freshman for a reason. All the reporting from last week says he was one of the best players there. This is classic SDSU, get on a player before he blows up.

It looks like he had a productive summer in July. Hope the offensive skills recalibrate! Good size like Malcolm and Sky

Didn't we just offer him last week? According to 247, the kid picked up 6 offers in the past 11 days....with 5 of those offers coming after SDSU offered on 7/20. 247sports.com/Player/Brodricks-Jones-26357Discussion about Jones' play at the AAU circuit over the past week: Brodricks Jones, PF, Cal Supreme: Jones has to be considered the West Coast Comeback Player of the Year. He was an elite prospect as a freshman who showed flashes but was inconsistent during his sophomore and junior seasons. He’s always had the size, length and athleticism and now he’s putting it all together in the most important week of his career. Jones scored around the basket, faced up and hit jumpers, defended, rebounded and played with strong effort. His recruitment has done a 180 and for good reason. scouthoops.scout.com/story/1426526-las-vegas-day-three-top-performersI don't understand this?? "Jones logged only 11.7 minutes per game as a junior, scoring 2.2 points and grabbing 2.9 boards per game." www.mwcconnection.com/2014/7/31/5957359/san-diego-state-basketball-three-star-power-forward-brodricks-jonesI don't think that MWC got it right. The 2.2 Pts and 2.9 Rebs are AAU stats not HS. Amateur hour.

Good write-up www.utsandiego.com/news/2014/jul/31/sdsu-baskeball-brodricks-jones-recruit/interesting notes The height, though, doesn’t come from his father. He’s 5-7½.
It comes from his late mother, Donna, who was 6-7. Jones has a 7-4 step brother, Jermaine “Stretch” Middleton, who plays for the Harlem Globetrotters. He has 6-5 and 6-7 step sisters. His 15-year-old brother is 6-5.

Don't over analyze it . He had a good Freshman year . Slumped his sophomore and junior years . Had a very good summer in the key July evaluations periods . Will be interesting to see how he does his senior season . Could pick up if he continues to improve . As mentioned will have the opportunity to learn from Chol , Spencer ..... before they graduate . Also show M. Cage Jr. he will have support down low,if he signs here in 2016 with Jones and Cheatham .

Big Buddah CHEEZE! Welcome to the Mesa, Brodricks. Here's to wishing you a long an illustrious career playing hoops, beginning of course with four years wearing the Red and Black.
