According to their Facebook. Terrible for the college area. Will definitely miss this place, the Godfather, and Club 4.0.
Maybe an on-campus stadium would have changed their fate.

Yeah, I heard that the other day. That's too bad. Great place to pre-game. I heard its gonna be a Hookah smoke shop or something like that. That whole strip mall will be history soon enough.

Sad indeed, but true aztecs know that 4.0 died about 5 years ago. Change of ownership made an unbelievable sandwich into a good sandwich, skimping a bit on the quality of ingredients. I did appreciate the cheap pitchers and last minute pre game spot.

Only the 2nd saddest bit of news to come from SDSU today, but sad none the less. Without pitchers at 4.0 before class, I quite possibly would have failed a few more of them.

In a few years, the corner of Montezuma Rd. and College Ave. will never be the same again, and although it hurts now, it will be for the better.

It's been all downhill since The Roost and Two Bit's left. Haha.

I know plenty of people who went abroad with him to Oxford every summer. I regret not going myself. I had him for a class while I was a student. Very insightful and dedicated person. RIP Doc.

4.0 was the only worthwhile establishment in that building. That parcel has potential for a redevelopment, now I see no reason to not raze it, and tie it into the other development going on. And I took a class with Doc Stoddard as well, he was always interesting to talk to after class. We never did have the "reading day" with him at Louie's . Prayers sent to his family.

For a college area of a major university, I'm amazed at the lack of college bars.
Are Trujillo's and Buddy's Burgers the only places to grab a beer within walking distance of campus?

J$Cobb is their best sandwich. Never tasted anything like it. Really wish I could make it down there before it closes.
