From the Seattle Times article:
"Still, it’s sobering to believe the new normal is a basketball world where a Mountain West team routinely trumps Pac-12 teams on the court and in recruiting."
Jeez.....such hubrus...

Let's fill out the class with Walker or Grimes AND Aflakpui!
Hopefully the early Hemsley commit puts a little bit of pressure on the other recruits to follow suit (there are only so many schollies to go around).

Love the guys that know where they wanna go and commit. Instead of playing the waiting game.

Another recruit stolen from New Mexico et al....it's too funny. Surprised that they have not come whining yet. I see the Washington fans whining. It all brings a BIG smile to me lips!

If you look at the scholarship situation, I believe we will only have room for three recruits: a SG, SF and PF would be an ideal class, and it looks like Hemsley just took the SG spot. If we take four then it perhaps is a strong signal that Shepard is thinking of going pro no matter what happens in the coming season.

I don't think we ever had a chance with Hemsley, he's a good player but not many lobo fans expected a commitment from him. Now if Grimes goes to SDSU you will see some unhappy lobo fans and hear some "whining."

Shepard is deceived if he thinks just because he wants to "go pro", suddenly means NBA teams will be scrambling to get him. At best, Shepard will be playing in Europe somewhere, perhaps after that, graduate to the "D-League." His overall game in college so far has been mediocre...professional ballplayers would eat he and his game ALIVE...

Read the comments from the Husky fans on the article they are all critical of the "sobering" comment and highly complimentary of SDSU

Here's the Oracle's scouting report on Hemsley.
Generally, he's a more athletic version of Brandon Heath. At this point in his career, he's 1. a better athlete (and will still be at the end of his career) 2. He's a better scorer than Heath. Heath had a better outside shot and was a better FT shooter than Hemsley.
He's also a slasher like Dakarai Allen. What Dakarai has in length, Hemsley has in athleticism.
Hemsley is more of a SG than he is a PG. But, if he should ever develop a consistent outside shot, make FTs, and can play the PG; he would be a good candidate to play in the NBA. He's got a lot of work to do, but he's got the physical attributes.....you can't teach that.
