Tweeted this AM. Looks like @ Cincy Jon Rothstein @jonrothstein 42m Cincinnati's 14-15 non-conference schedule: VCU (home), San Diego State (home), at NC State, at Nebraska, Xavier (Neutral), Emerald Classic. Does that mean home games versus Kansas and Cincinnati in 2015? That would be nice. 11/14/2014 Cal State Northridge @ SDSU (coach of the game for this was a silent auction item at the banquet last night) HomeUSD Cal State Northridge NeutralMaui Classic Away ??/??/2014 Washington 12/17/2014 Cincinnati 7 games + 18 MWC games = 25 games. We have, at most, 6 more games.

with neutral games in MAUI and decent road games @ Wash and Cincy , wonder if we will get many quality games at home . Would be great to get Conference challenge games vs WCC - with first place finish last year- a SDSU vs Gonzaga would be nice. Also game with New Mexico State . Would the coach from St John's (former UCLA coach) come out here to play a game and recruit. Ask Miles coach at Nebraska (former CSU coach).

Another reason it's so important to have a Steve Fisher at the helm. He knows other coaches and they know him. When he calls, they answer …

I hope they pony up some money to buy games with more quality teams. Buying a couple of games from teams that will finish near the top of bad conferences, makes a big difference in RPI. Not playing Southern Utah would raise our RPI more than if we had beaten Arizona instead of losing to them. For a few more bucks we could have, instead, bought a game from a team that would help us instead of hurt us.

Pretty sure we play Long Beach State at home this year and away next year.

Utah is going to be good for RPI, glad we get them here first.

That gives us potentially 6 OOC opponents that might be in the NCAA tournament. Throw in five UNLV and New Mexico games and that's a pretty strong schedule.

Would be nice if the MW and WCC had a challenge series - We would most likely get game with Gonzaga , BYU or St Mary's. Unless BSU , Lobos , or CSU really improve MW may only have two MM teams again this year - really hurts our rankings with out a very good OOC schedule .

I am more than aware of that. But it means that there is already communication between the two schools. It gives a better forum to discuss having an HnH basketball game. Understand my drift? Kinda but I don't think basketball scheduling is made any easier just because we scheduled in football. Devil's point is the communications are open. UNC is a perfect basketball opponent for us. Schmoozing at a football game gives us a great chance to set this up. I actually thought the same thing when I heard about the game. Sent from my SM-G900V using proboards

Last year the team had "closed door Scrimmage " at Stanford , where the public could not come in . Believe the staff thought it worked out well , will they do 1 again ? If so then there is only 1 X game rather then two . So would guess an X home game at the start of November against San Marcos , UCSD , ....

Home 11/14/2014 Cal State Northridge 11/18/2014 Utah ??/??/2014 USD ??/??/2014 Long Beach State

Away ??/??/2014 Washington 12/17/2014 Cincinnati
9 games + 18 MWC games = 27 games. We have, at most, 4 more games. Long Beach State is at it again with a killer OOC schedule.
Long Beach OOC Schedule Home Kansas State Nevada Away St Johns Louisville Texas S. F. Austin BYU SDSU UCLA
Plus the Wooden Classic.
They may enter Big West play with a major losing record. RPI doesn't account sufficiently for your opponent's crazy schedule. It hurts us.

Those LB folks need to tone it down a little. I'll be shocked if they have three D1 wins entering conference play. AztecBill, I know we're not on the schedule this year but here's our OOC schedule by comparison
Home Seattle USD Vermont Florida Gulf Coast
Away Kansas Florida Gulf Coast SMU Oregon Oregon State
Neutral The Great Alaska Shootout
