Not much of a race, is it? Despite all the brickbats thrown at Fox News, I would have to say that their reporting (as opposed to the opinion shows) is pretty straight forward. O'Reilly is much fairer and even-handed than most people who have not watched him think. On the other hand, Beck and Hannity are very partisan. Beck is really pretty much a libertarian, while Hannity leans toward the GOP (though he has, recently, made a point of calling himself a conservative first). But what about MSNBC? When you have one of the outfit's leading stars say he got a tingling up his leg when he heard Obama speak you know you are dealing with an out-and-out propaganda organ. AzWm

I note that most of the MSNBC folks have very small audiences. I most never watch OLBERMANN except on the football show on Sundays. In my book his marginal appeal on sports has turned sour for me due to his disgusting take on things political.

Sorry guys, I find the 'opinion' shows in MSNBC to be much less partisan. They don't hesitate to take Obama and the Democrats to task whereas Fox just seems to be an extension of the Republican National Committee.

I disagree, but even if what you think is true, how do you account for the ratings? These cable channels have equal access, but huge disparities in viewership. Since some layers of the onion that is Obama have been pealed away, more folks are leaning to the less destructive Republicans and soon to the real Conservative point of view.

Take away Palin and Billo's ratings are usually in the same range as the Manatee's. Claiming there is some sort of shift in the country based upon less than 3 million viewers is sort of ridiculous. Beck doesn't surprise me given that he's a total whack job with paranoiac tendencies that he shares with just about the same number of people who watch him. But really Pooh, it doesn't matter. If jobs come back before 2012, Obama gets reelected. He has stated as much any number of times. =Bob

I hope jobs do come back but enough of the evil in Obama has been exposed to make him just a one termer. You last sentence says a lot about you. "He has stated as much any number of times." That makes it so? Do you get some kind of thrill running up your leg when Obama speaks? I know that it is hard to find a good tactic to argue with hard stats and when Cable audience share is the subject you should just let it rest. The stats do vary some depending on guests or subject, but all cable outlets have the same opportunity to put on what people want. Here is a little three minute piece of reminder advice for all of us that really fits where you liberals are concerned. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXeCAeACmJE&feature=player_embedded
