Discussion of Hedges as a top C prospect in baseball

This kids defense write ups, if true, is game changing, at the Yadier Molina level. Not too many at all can impact a game or dictate a game from behind the plate the way Molina can. We might have one on our hands. Molina didn't have an instant offensive impact upon reaching the big leagues. it wasn't until his fourth or fifth year in the bigs when his offense caught up to his defense. Hedges might be on the same path.

Develop him. Then trade him for 6 more prospects, then develop them, and repeat the cycle.

The Padres have become a Developmental league for MLB.
