There seems to be many fans of both teams. However, which is your true and most beloved team? Answer this question honestly and you will likely have your answer.
If you could pick only one of the following dream scenarios which would it be. The team you choose will show you what team you truly favor...
AZTECS DREAM SCENARIO ONE
San Diego State University builds its own SDSU stadium. San Diego State Aztec Warrior Stadium becomes the host site of a premier college football bowl game. The Aztecs get admitted into the PAC 12 Conference. SDSU goes on to win a division I football National Championship.
CHARGERS DREAM SCENARIO TWO
The San Diego Chargers get a new state of the art NFL stadium built. San Diego hosts subsequent future Super Bowls. The Chargers go on to win a Super Bowl.
My choice without question is the Aztec Dream Scenario #1.
What say you?

Both.
There is no reason why both can't happen. (Well, except the college football machinery making it impossible for the Aztecs to win a D1 title...)

You can only choose one scenario. Which is it? Of course both things could happen, but if I can only choose one it would be the Aztecs.

There seems to be many fans of both teams. However, which is your true and most beloved team? Don't need a hypothetical to answer this... While I might have been reppin' the red and black in pick-up games years before I ever attended classes on the Mesa, I've been bleeding blue and yellow/gold for over 35 years. Here's a picture of yours truly with Hall of Famer and the original Mr. 3rd Down, Mr. Charlie Joiner... (I'm the white kid )

The Aztecs Scenario is a longer/impossible shot, so if we could have one, why not it be the longest/impossible shot to magically come true.
I like the State of the Art stadium that both teams can use and benefit from, as well as hosting super bowls (AND WHY NOT The OLYMPICS/WORLD CUPS!!) We are dreaming right.

I don't accept the premise. It is intentionally divisive and logically flawed. C'mon man. It's just for fun. If you had to choose ONE---despite the logical flaw of the premise---which would it be? Lemme see... The "Aztec Dream Scenario" is impossible on almost every level. The "Charger Dream Scenario" is plausible though unlikely. I'd like to see BOTH... ...but given the choice of ONLY one? I'll take the SDSU scenario. That's like saying, "Which would you do, get a college degree or get a good job?" Isn't the point to do both?

Ever notice how "State of the Art" half-life for stadiums is about 4 years (and even that seems to be shrinking by the month?? At one point, Jack Murphy was considered nationwide a "state of the art" palace. That didn't last long.
College football stadiums have lasted through the generations, since the time of Pop Warner and Knute Rockne. Places like those are packed for the purity of the college gameday on-campus experience, not because of the latest gadget that will be obsolete in 2 years and needs to be upgraded (and funded) to keep that type of fan entertained.
At any rate, to answer the OP's question -- the option that benefits SDSU football. Couldn't give a rip about the Chargers.

Well if the Chargers get a brand new state of the art stadium...odds are we are playing in it too.
But between the 2..I'd say Chargers

A lot of people on this board seem to have a chip on their shoulders about the Chargers for some reason. To answer the ridiculous hypothetical, Chargers. Because I've never once seen a thread on the Chargers forums disparaging the Aztecs in any way. However, I have seen plenty of Chargers fans in the college/other sports section of Charger boards cheering for the Aztecs. I also seen plenty of commentators on Aztec videos with Chargers/Padres flair. Stop with the complex and cheer for whomever you want. It's not an either/or situation and the Chargers aren't the reason the Aztecs suck.

I don't get the hate towards from some of you towards your own team.

And I still say BOTH.
Just like I would refuse to choose between my kids (if I had to choose between two) as to which I'd like to see succeed in life and which I'd like to see become estranged from me. I would want BOTH to succeed and remain close to me (if I had two kids).

I would want BOTH to succeed and remain close to me (if I had two kids). Me too. The us/them mentality is oddly prevalent in the Aztec fan base. The fact that Qualcomm holds 70,000 is NOT the reason why the Aztecs only draw 25,000.
