The DBacks are 12-0 when Corbin starts and 24-29 when he doesn't. The Padres are 1-8 when Richard starts and 31-26 when he doesn't.
The DBacks only have 4 starters on their roster. They have enough off days in June to carry an extra reliever instead of a 5th starter. So we had a 75% chance of having to face Corbin. Finally a break.
But Richard does pitch Saturday. Will he finally have a good game? I mean another good game...he did pitch 6 scoreless innings against the Rockies in a 2-1 Padres loss at home on April 14.
A sweep would really close the standings. Am I being too greedy?

Richard came up huge in his game (which was moved from Saturday to Sunday), earning his first win as a starter this year. Nice spec call on the sweep! (Double sweep, no less... knocked off two 1st place teams)

DBacks lost their first game that Corbin started. Corbin did his part (8 innings, 2 runs) but the worst record Marlins still beat them via Stanton's (2nd of the day) home run off Heath Bell in the 9th. Corbin's win every 5th game gave the DBacks their lead in the NL West.
