Pretty sweet that at the end of the Heat game tonight the announcer talked about the Kawhi vs Lebron matchup. This will be the first NBA finals I watch in years!

He may even have to guard Wayne Wade or Youdonis Harlem.
Kawhi could easily own Mark Miller though.

I'm worried about his chances against Quailman. Not doubt. Let's face it, Kawhi is going to have his hands full. The Hots are a great squad. Coach Eric Olestra even has a couple of ex-NCAA stars on the bench in Shane Battery and Jajuan Rose.

I think KL will do OK, .. Pop will mix it up ....don't think there is one player that can handle LJ for a entire game ....

LeBron James vs. Kawhi Leonard. No one man stops LeBron James… but one man can make his life more difficult (Paul George did a respectable job last round). . Kawhi Leonard will be the best defender LeBron will see these playoffs, and if Leonard can just make LeBron have to really work for his points, that’s a huge plus for the Spurs. The help defense behind Leonard also needs to be sharp — Tim Duncan is smart about this, but Tiago Splitter can be a step slow at times, he does that this round and he’s in a LeBron poster.
You have to love that.

Kawhi was 13th in defensive rating. I absolutely love Kawhi's defense, but let's not slight George. They are pretty damn comparable as defenders, and I don't think you can definitively say Kawhi is a better defender at this point. I'm excited to see what Kawhi does against LeBron, though.

With that said, LeBron is playing on another level right now and Kawhi will have his hands full. Sent from my DROID RAZR using proboards

It must be the writers opinion and to just see it written about Kawhi is pretty great. I don't follow the NBA close enough to even have an opinion on who is the best in the playoffs.

Got it--sorry about that. I'm really excited to see what Kawhi does against LeBron. Paul George gave up less points to the players he guards during the season, but a lot of that likely has to do with the threat of Roy Hibbert playing help defense.

Paul George was forced to exert a ton of effort on offense for the Pacers, which makes his defensive stats absolutely amazing.
