Giving Headly a badly needed day off and never seeing Amarista in CF again would be good things. Hopefully these two can come back soon. Who is cast off is a problem for the Padres. Guzman Kotsay Blanks (play every day in the minors) Amarista Relief Pitcher to go with 11.

Maybin has been the s**ts ever since he got the contract. Looks like him being sent down has hopefully been a wake up call. We'll see.

Maybin is a VERY good centerfielder.

Maybin is a VERY good centerfielder. There are LOTS of guys who can run down fly balls in the OF. If Maybin is going to stick at the majors he needs to become the 20 HR 40 SB .275 hitter the scouts projected him to be. Right now his career is at a crossroads, hit or go home.

Guzman would be the first to go. He adds nothing devensively and Blanks can fill his role as a righty off the bench.
The next spot is tougher. I don't think the pitching staff can consistenly go deep enough into ballgames to drop an arm from the 'pen.

Forsythe may not hit as well as Gyorko (although that is not a given) his defense is much better. Gyorko is 24 and Forsythe is 26.
