If you would have told me that we would have gone 2-3 on this road trip I would have taken it.

If you would have told me that we would have gone 2-3 on this road trip I would have taken it. It would have been 3-2 without a Blown Save by Street. Are those harder for Padres fans to accept due to the Padres history of closers? Are we closer spoiled? Burch Smith will get another chance Friday. I expect Stauffer to either be traded or be in the starting rotation by June 1. That is the deadline of trade, play, or lose him. He is pitching too well to be lost.

And if we didn't come back in the bottom of the 9th against the Orioles it would have been 1-4. And trust me they've been more spoiled by their closers than we have.

Huston Street has converted 94.1% of his close opportunites with the Padres. Before that we had Bell. Before that we had Trevor. Since Trevor retired Close Stats 134 Balt Saves 24 Balt Blown Saves 164 SD Saves 16 SD Blown Saves And before that we had Trevor forever. Padre Fans have been spoiled by our closers. Since Petco Park opened the Padres have had a better save % every year.

You were the one that used the phrase "their closer s". That pural means "over the years". He had 4 blown saves 2012-2013. Huston Street has had 2 blown saves over the same period.

OKAY FINE OVER THE PREVIOUS 35 SAVE OPPORTUNITIES THE ORIOLES WERE MORE SPOILED THAN PADRE FANS. Jesus Christ bill did the numerous occasions in which you were shoved into a locker as an annoying teenager teach you nothing?

You need to be a little more careful with your language so you write what you really mean. If not, don't be surprised when people misunderstand your meaning.

Updated.
16-4 over the last 20 games that the main 4 starters began. If Richard comes back and is himself, the Padres could add another effective pitcher to the mix. The 5th starter in the mix over this period has lost every game. The last time the Padres won a game started by someone other than these 4 was 5 weeks ago (April 17) when Tyson beat the Dodgers.

True, but Jim Johnson has appeared in 93 games over that span, to Street's 60. Street only appeared in 40 games in 2012, Johnson pitched in 71, and was terrific.
