when did the finest city in the US go back to the stone-age? WTF is wrong with this city? I dropped my TW, and I suggest everyone else drop it and get Direct tv.

I hate that Garfinkle's solution is for fans to switch carriers. He's works for a MAJOR LEAGUE FRANCHISE, the answer should be to figure it out and get it done.

Isn't King Bob stepping up the pressure now? I'm sure things will magically get done if he is.

A real ownership group would be paying the difference. These guys don't have the money to run a ML franchise. They shouldn't have to. TWC has always played hardball. They suck.

The main problem I have is that they think FSSD costs too much, then go on to create 2 channels (one for Lakers one for Dodgers) that each charge more than FSSD. Add to that their history with holding out on channels like mtn. and it becomes harder to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Cable TV is a government sanctioned monopoly. Government does indeed have a place at the table. If TW is not providing local interest TV as they are required, the government entities that oversee them can begin procedures to remove their status as the only cable provider to those groups. They could start by moving the line that demarks Cox and TW territories northward, incrementally.

A real ownership group would be paying the difference. I doubt this very seriously. I can't think of one team that gave money away to put their product on TV. If you can show me a link or something pointing to a legit franchise doing that, not some NBA D-League team or such, then I'll gladly come back and say, oops I was wrong. This is not an indictment on the new ownership group. This has to do with TWC being indebted to the Dodgers and Lakers. And by indebted, I mean really indebted.
