I know Fish likes to use a short bench in conference play but I hope these guys keep a positive attitude. I would like to see them get a little playing time at least but Fish knows best.

Johnson needs to be ready to play 10+ very important mins/game next season backing up Sky. Some decent playing time here & there *this* season would be helpful. But in Fish I trust.

I think they have "next" as in next year. Both will eventually be a big part of the program, just not this year barring (god forbid) some sort of injury.

He's already a monster defensively, finishes strong, plays within himself offensively and has a great attitude for a Freshman.

I think we'll see Skylar starting at the 5 w/ James getting plenty of time at the 4, JJ can move over to a 3 spot where imo he'd be more comfortable

Polee has played so little that its hard to tell how good he is. He seems like he has a lot of potential but hard for him to dominate unless he puts on more weight. Still surprised how little Johnson is playing but I think he'll get a lot more minutes next year.

Both of them will get significant minutes next year and they know it.

Just look at the Jamaal Franklin example. He didn't play big minutes until midway through his Sophmore year....and last year's team was super thin in terms of depth and was pretty much all hands on deck. Fisher gives these guys small doses to see what they can do...if they're not ready, don't hustle, and don't benefit the team overall...they sit on the bench until they've earned it. Polee looks like he hustles but isn't delivering in live action right now...part of it may be that he's adjusting to a new role...he may look a lot different next year......Johnson may be an attitude / hustle thing...and he's learning that you have to earn minutes on this team...At least he is back to getting a couple of minutes here and there instead of just sitting out games entirely...It looks to me like he's starting to get it...I'll bet he sees some more time in the rotation by the end of the year and will be relied upon heavily next year.

Polee looked pretty solid @st. John's the games I swa him play. He needs to spend 6 months in the gym, though.

An upside to having a deep conference is a better RPI. A downside is the lack of blowouts that will allow the like of Polee and Johnson to get significant minutes in a game.
