It's not East Coast bias.
There are 3-4 good teams in the MWC that keep beating each other.
There is not a single GREAT team in the MWC and that's the problem. IMO, SDSU, NM, and UNLV are all locks for the NCAA's provided they avoid 2+ bad losses. CSU and Wyo are on pace as long as they can beat one of the top 3 one more time. Boise didn't do themselves any favors today and I think they are, as of today, not in the tournament.

I'm betting that on Monday we'll find three ranked MWC teams again, including the Aztecs who will jump back into the top 20, probably around 17 or so.

3 ranked. All 3 between 20-25. Disrespect.

Aztecs should be back Monday after back to back beatdowns. Hopefully they don't flake out again.

With us beating NM, and just about every top 25 team losing last week, we should see a rise in the standings...how far a rise remains to be seen...

3 ranked. All 3 between 20-25. Disrespect. I don't think we see 3 teams in the top 25. Maybe I'm pessimistic, but I think we are getting overlooked. The big reason is we need to make noise in the dance.

3 ranked. All 3 between 20-25. Disrespect. I agree with 3 teams ranked from 20-25. Really 4 should be in the Top 25 but there are only so many spots available.

It does. 3 sweet 16s in 13 years and having no population perpetuates this 'getting the shaft.' You don't think playing on television channels on the witness protection tier plays into that? NBC cable had 58k average viewers in primetime in Dec, even when hockey was around last year they only had 158k. It's like being on a bad podcast as many podcasts have multiples of these channels, hell, CBS doesn't even subscribe to ratings so no one can see how few watch. This isn't going away until some one in the MWC does anything of note and even then, no one lives in these areas and no one watches the channels we're on. of course, if we don't lose at home and get blown the F out the next game we'd be ranked and wouldn't have to worry about 'the shaft.'

The rankings are fine. Don't lose to Wyoming.

I think we see NM and SDSU ranked (if barely) and UNLV looking in.

We win some NCAA games this year as a conference. Have a team or two make deep runs and then we get the national respect.
That's the sole reason why we don't get national respect. We as a conference fail on the biggest stage.

We as a conference fail on the biggest stage. Even in OOC the MW finds a way to trip up. New Mexico lost to South Dakota State University at home. Right or wrong, games like that are used against the MW as a whole when NM is supposed to be a top tier MW team. The UCLA cal poly loss will be excused away, but not that loss by UNM.

Plus, UCLA gets the benefit of being in the Pac 12 when they lose to teams like ASU.

I think we see NM and SDSU ranked (if barely) and UNLV looking in. Looks like the MWC is not getting the respect just yet, and I agree. Keep winning, then make it to at least the sweet 16 and next year will be a different story.

Most agree that the MWC has to go deep into the tournament , probably multiple times to get some respect. If one of our top teams were to win out in league play surely they would get some respect and a good draw.
