Geez, Yoda. What do you do for a living? Stock broker? That sounds seriously unhealthy! It is. But at least I can see my treadmill from my desk. Speaking of which, it needs dusting. I'm in an obscure part of the insurance industry. I'm an excess and surplus lines broker and program manager. I underwrite, price and quote property, liability and liquor liability insurance on restaurants, bars and taverns in four states under a program that I put together. I'll bet you're glad you asked, right? Once I get caught up, I do intend to use that treadmill. Tough right now, however, as I am swamped. And yes, I understand that I would be better off using the treadmill more and posting less. Yoda out...

I'm guessing day trader, lol. Stop making fun of another team's fan. We're better than that. THank god someone finally said this. Making fun of yoda is second only to calling the gentleman, Rebel Robert, "Roberta". Really needs to stop around here. It's not classy at all.

I begin my workday about 3 AM and go until about 9 PM -- pretty much 7 days a week. Message boards are a break for me. Y? I don't start close to that early but frequently work later than that and similarly have fallen into a rut of almost never taking a full day off. So message boards are the same for me, particularly since I'm so often stuck in my home office with nobody physically present to BS with. As to the substance of what you said, I have no idea whether you're right. Even if you are, the problem with MWC is the little guys of the conference continuing to call the shots. It's just amazing how much juice Wyoming and CSU have with the rest of the conference. I can understand USU and SJSU deferring to them since they're newbies and had to beg for admission. However, UNLV and UNM appear to be total yes men to the whims of the front rangers. Worse, they seem to hate SDSU because we don't do the same. I still hold out hope that as Fresno and UNR are around for awhile that those schools will soon grow some nads too.

I still hold out hope that as Fresno and UNR are around for awhile that those schools will soon grow some nads too. Why do you say that the front range runs the conference? I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe that. I know that the CSU President is currently the board chair -- but that is as much curse as it is an honor, in that it requires more work and confers no real power. I can't speak for the MWC, but in the WAC they changed Presidents (if I recall correctly) at the start of each year. It was more or less alternated, not awarded based on merit. Power tended to be a function of length of service and interest in that those who had been around awhile had the greatest institutional memory and the new people tended to look to them for guidance. I can't speak for Nevada but Welty was a leader in the WAC. I presume that he still is in the MWC -- although he is retiring at the end of the year so our considerable nads will probably be shrinking quite a lot. Yoda out... .
