Great road win tonight over the Wolfpack. Really put the clamps down on them in the second half, aided by Malik Story's cramping problem and some high quality basketball on our end. That being said....
Transition defense, or lack thereof. Getting back on defense is all about effort, hustle and desire. In the first half, Nevada had far too many easy opportunities in transition, simply because we either were lazy getting back or flat out just didn't stop the ball. Inexcusable and a DEATH SENTENCE in the NCAA tournament against high quality teams that will no doubt exploit and capitalize on that. Offense comes and goes, as we saw in Laramie. But the one thing that never takes a day off is defense. The one thing that should never be lacking is effort on the defensive end. Hopefully the team will correct this going forward and get back to the trademark defense we've come to see here on the Mesa. Bring on the Lobos!

Yes, and as you saw what we did in the second half tonight that pretty much wraps it up, dude!

It is interesting that if we reversed the halves, we would have had a 65-31 lead at one point.

A solid road win. Period. You take your road Ws and fly back home. A road W is not guaranteed. Just ask Duke.

It is interesting that if we reversed the halves, we would have had a 65-31 lead at one point. If you reorganize the scoring output by both teams then we started the game up 78-0.

The effort was good. The sloppyness was not. Momentum was re-established which is what really counts. If this team plays with the fire & discipline they had vs ucla/arizona, we can beat 90% of the nation. If not, we can lose to 90% of the nation.

If not, we can lose to 90% of the nation. there are 347 ncaa d1 bball teams... you think when we play with fire & discipline we can't beat 34 of them?? let's up that percentage to 97 or 98%
