To not score a 2 point basket in first 16 minutes or any field goal in last 7:40 of regulation and still win. Never seen anything like it.
Mod's note - the modification was only for the thread title to avoid a duplicate topic.

I have not looked at the box score - but I thought it took longer. Other than 3's the only points I can remember in the first 10 min with Franklin's free throws. I thought it was werid too - but hey, if your hitting threes, why not roll with it.

This shows we have a good team...it's like a Perry Mason team...you know we're going to win, but you just don't know how.

I commented to my dad during the first half that we weren't shooting inside shots well, and were hardly even trying any. I said, "If we go cold on the 3 point shots and can't shoot inside we're in trouble." We were in trouble. Our inside game SUCKED last night. We were out rebounded, out shot, and out hustled on the inside all night long. We just got red hot on the 3's in the first half and took that huge lead. If not for that CSU would have won that game by at least 10. Coach Fisher's really got to work with these guys on their inside game. Other coaches are going to watch last night's game and go after us inside. This will become a trend, so we have to come up with an answer for it. And fast.

For certain, as we saw last night, 3 point shots always trend back towards whatever your average is. So if you start off hot, odds are it will come back a bit.
That being written, we are one of the better 3 pt shooting teams in the nation and can survive living on the arc for awhile. Moreover, CSU is known for clogging it up down low & giving up open looks. We took what they gave us and it worked.
Hopefully next time we play them they come out extended and that frees up some driving lanes for X, Franklin, and Shep; this in turn will land their bigs in foul trouble (assuming the refs don't swallow their whistles).
