It's not easy to pick between two poor choices. Maybe, but the damn thing is, nobody can say for certain that they are two poor choices, two good choices, or one of each -- and if one of each, which is good and which is bad. We're all being given the mushroom treatment. And you can't trust anything that anybody says because you know that it is being put out there to further a negotiating position. For example, the Cincy & UConn rumor. Maybe: ~ that's a real story that leaked early and was denied until the right time. It is certainly a plausible idea -- principally because in moving to the C-7, the two schools would give them enough votes to kill the conference -- so that (guessing) $10 mil to $20 mil in MBB credits could be directly distributed to the schools that earned them instead of shared with all those C-USA schools in the Big East, or ~ a leak by the MWC, in the hope that it will add enough concerns about instability in the conference to drive the folks at UH & SMU into deciding to come to the MWC, or ~ a leak by someone at UConn, designed to do nothing other than tell the BE that if they want to keep them, then they have some concessions to make as respects exit fees, notification requirements and maybe distribution of MBB credits, or ~ a leak by the C-7 to make it clear to UConn and Cincy that they would be welcome if they wanted to do that, or ~ a leak by who knows in support of a half dozen other scenarios that I'm not smart enough to dream up. I truly hate this and wish it were over. Yoda out... .

Just stop with the UConn and Cincinnati placing their football in the MWC, Yoda. It's now obvious Thompson approached them and they listened and said no and that's it.

He's willing to psot anything and perhaps give credence to anything that means the MWC will have some movement towards it... regardless of the cost. No one in favor of moving to the MWC cares about the ultimate cost, I am certain. At least they should be circumspect and perhaps appreciative that our leadership is trying to make the payouts better for all the members to make it more viable.

A.D. Sterk and our President , now have the information from the BE, except of course the TV deal, to sit back and compare it to the MW. ( Do wish the BE ,could have promised A South/West Division for both football and basketball). Hopefully Sterk has gotten all the facts and $ amounts from the MW with the BSU deal, to make as good of a decision as possible. As of now the less said the better
