I dont think we realize how important this is. For the country, and more specifically Southern California, we would play on some obscure station called the MTN...known to insiders only.
We now have about half our games on "the lakers channel". People know what the lakers channel is. Expecially people in southern california. Especially young recruits in southern california.
So yeah, people looking to watch lakers stumble upon an exciting Aztecs team, a team ranked in the top 25, and a team that beat the S**t out of their UCLA bruins.

Tv likes us, unfortunately once we go back to the MWC we'll be at the whim of some rocks in the mountains to determine how they can open up a new funnel cake stand on root sports and our best partner Fox with nothing because there are no fox sports channels in the mountains (I think fox has some stake in root sports). Time warner traded adding cbs college on a mil sets for picking up the sdsu and unlv games - and we have no idea how long that deal lasts, and they don't even bother to mention the the fact that they have a dozen games of a top 15 team on their network - no pre, half or postgame show, etc. The laker channel is not a good deal for SDSU, fox sd/prime ticket on the other hand is exactly what we need.

I love being on the Laker channel. Everyone I know from LA always watches our games now because they are used to turning to that channel every day to see what is going on with the Lakers. I get texts from folks that have never seen an SDSU game in their life multiple times, every game. Pretty sweet.
