"Where Boise State stands to make its money — and likely more than any other current Mountain West member in the near future — is through the national television exposure bonus. The Mountain West will pay any team $300,000 per regular-season game on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox and an additional $200,000 for Saturday games on those networks. Games on CBS Sports Network are not eligible for the bonus. The bonuses are paid out before the remaining television money is distributed to members." I have no problem what Boise State did. I think 99.94562% of us would be upset if SDSU passed up a deal like that.

Wanna get paid, play well Other than the little detail that all the other non Boise home games in the MWC are tied up by the CBS deal and not available to be sold to ESPN it's fine. The reality is Boise will have an ESPN deal, the rest of the league will have the same deal with CBS that it would have had without Boise.

Bottom line is the MWC teams just need to beat Boise so ESPN (or anyone else) doesn't have the need to put Boise on national tv....that way their deal is worth nothing!

I was saying earlier, the Boise deal could set a precendent for others to try and get. I have no problems with if you win, you get more of the pie. In a crazy sense, it might make the MWC more attractive to some schools seeking a deal like Boise's
