Was wondering when we'd get the semi-annual baseball thread. It really is embarrassing how bad our baseball program is. Maybe this is the time the discontent bubbles to the surface and we will finally end up with a change in leadership. I'm not holding my breath.

Ironically, I suspect if a kid is measuring the programs by the quality of their website he's probably more likely to end up at SDSU given the obvious lack of interest from a real program. Edited to add: If you are looking for ways to show SDSU's apathy about the baseball program, look no further than the head coach's office at State.

Yes and ignore the stadium or many baseball alumnist who have played and been successful in the bigs. I actually played baseball at state and the programs struggles are an unexplanable anomally to me. SD is filled to the gills with baseball talent.

on a scale of 1 to 10 on things to work on with the baseball program, websites come in around #100. Right after cancelling program.

You're all wrong. Complaining on message boards is what solves all program ills. I mean look how many complaints there have been about basketball and football the past decade and voila!

I inquired about the position but I didn't hear back. Complaining on message boards is exactly how to plant the seeds of change.

Complaining on message boards is exactly how to plant the seeds of change. Classic! If the 14 people at the games added a new "I'll complain if we don't win" chant at games, there's a double-barreled attack they won't be able to say no to. Complaining makes people feel better. Actually getting involved leads to change.

Actually getting involved leads to change. Some of us aren't in a position to get involved. Speaking for myself, I don't have the money to be an influential donor with the ear of someone in the administration, and I don't have the time to devote to trying to obtain the ear of someone with decision making capacity. This leaves me with sharing my thoughts, complaints or grievances with people on a message board that is undoubtedly read by someone with the ear of the administration, if not the administration themselves. What's more baffling to me is why someone would bother trying to tell me not to bother. If you don't want to read it, then don't.

A side by side comparison of the two programs from head coach to web site would only confirm what those of us follow the program know --- USD's program is superior in most every category.
I'll look and see about players to the big leagues -- off the top of my head, I think we win in that category. Oh, and maybe in alums/followers and alcohol consumption, we might take that category too. ;-)

You should see how USD handles their free flag promos.
Makes us look like a bunch of hyenas.

It starts at the top and not with the website. I've stopped giving a $#!+ because it's obvious all the school and boosters care about is giving Tony Gwynn a hobby. When he gets bored, maybe I'll care enough to consider the website an compare and contrast it to the school on the other hill that doesn't even enter my mind when we play them in basketball
