*SOME fans. Because if you don't worship the Big East, you're a s#!++y fan. We make no exception for T-Shirt Basketball AD's. What is your vision once we return to MWC? MBB can carry the university? he doesn't care about the university. he cares about basketball. hence, he's a tshirt fan

At this point isn't the risk associated with the BE/BW a little too much? Originally the $ made it an easy choice, but now not sure. You have to look at it as if a year ago we were planning to join CUSA for football and BW for all others, almost everyone would have said no way, stay in MWC. The biggest risk of all is the MWC. I can NOT see on the horizon any world that would see the BE doing worse than the MWC. The BE is not so stupid as to create a bankrupcty-in-waiting, which should be the new name for the MWC.

"They want back if terms are acceptable," a league source said. "They will need to accept our terms and presidents will need to approve a deal." Barf. UNACCEPTABLE. I don't want a minor-league AD. If this happens, then we have one. Yep.

Um...... Is there a source for this OHTER than CBS Sports? I sorta think CBS Sports might not exactly be objective in their journalism on this, since they're the big winners if SDSU comes back to the MW.

It will have to, because football will degenerate into flag football or a club travel team using the same bus with stops for girls softball.

It's a presidential decision. Yoda out... . Fans think they know more than A.Ds.. And who can blame them? Especially when their AD's have spotty track record like Livengold and Sterk.

I am still in favor of joining the Big East as long as their a guarantee of capital to subsidize any negativity that might arise from the fall out the Big East could be in for in the next couple of years.
I don't really understand and would like someone to explain the details of the football contract that Boise has with the Big East. I read the .pdf file and still a bit confused. Would someone please be kind enough to amuse me with an example of what could happen to Boise next season as they remain in the MWC?
I would think Aresco would come up with a plan by now and some sort of deal. The longer this draws out I get a harsh nausea of hopelessness by the thought of crawling back to MWC. The allowed Boise to rape of the other schools in the MWC is unacceptable. SDSU, I would hope would be better than this and seek to better itself by moving forward not backward. Aresco please give SDSU some inncestive to come back, as most people would agree that the MWC is a lost cause in terms of exposure and money.

It will have to, because football will degenerate into flag football or a club travel team using the same bus with stops for girls softball. and? And...if football goes away there is a likelihood that a lot of booster support goes with it and we become almost identical athletic program-wise to a Long Beach St., including the conference we play in.

Been through this dance man... I say "my vision? is to keep going on the same path we are currently on and hope for a better tv deal in '16/'20 while praying we get an invite from one of the 4 mega conferences when the time comes for expansion" And you say, "well, we can't stay on the current path because of our fiscal situation. Football will fold in the MW and we'll end up bball only in the BW anyway" And I say, "you are completely wrong, and jumping from one s#!++y fball conference to another won't help us in realignment talks anyway." And you say, "you are an idiot, of course with CA's financial situation and the horrible MW tv contract we are going to lose football if we stay the course" And I say, "no, we won't" And then we are at an impasse and one or both of us steers off into ad hom's and then some washed up third-stringer with his best days behind him hops in and says "wahhhhh t-shirt fans why wont anyone come to football games big east is god merrrrrrr" And the circle of life continues.

What are you saying that they are reporting that is skewed?

so by heating up he means they aren't heating up. I imagine we'll get stuck back on the Donner Pass, but there is zero in there to support that title. Yah, I'm afraid you're right. You'll get some verbage about having to agree to whom your second and third tier basketball games get sold to, but all that money will still go to the league, and the MWC will be generous on entry and exit fees and forfeited revenue because Thompson needs SDS off the table.

Take this into account, obviously Sterk has reviewed the deal, where the money is, and where its coming from as he makes his decision.... Enough of the hate already

Highly disappointing if this is how "committed" we are to the Big East. Hopefully this is all over soon, frankly I am sick of all the realignment talk.

UNACCEPTABLE. I don't want a minor-league AD. If this happens, then we have one. It's a presidential decision. Y. That. And this. The BE has been working like heck to get ESPN and BYU to reach some kind of agreement to get the Borg in for football only but obviously to no avail. Word is ESPN has been trying to leverage that to get the BE to cave on re-upping for a song - which ain't Stairway to Heaven. In lieu thereof, the BE is apparently going to exacerbate its Tulane faux pas and add Tulsa and even maybe, cough, cough, Arroz No Con Pollo y No Con Futbol Bueno Tambien. If that roomer is true, it's almost as if the BE is encouraging SDSU not to stay. So the only guarantee is this. If SDSU actually does return to the MWC, idiots like Krebs at UNM will see it as capitulation regardless of the terms. So will some here. So will every non-Aztec and non-Bronco on the MWC board for whatever that's worth. So be prepared for an onslaught of butthurt trolls, amigos.
