Is that after next week when the BCS fails to exist as we know it, the top ranked team for the non big 5 will be awarded the big bowl game. If BSU is playing in the MWC, they'll more than likely be undefeated in conference play and with then get the bid over a one loss team from the nBE, assuming that's were we'll be going. So although I do think its better for us to continue at the nBE path, I don't think we'll be seeing many access to many of the big games.

Bcs exists one more year. Not true. It has just been re-packaged under a different name. The rules are pretty much the same; however, they added an extra bowl for the championship game, the Big East lost its' autobid and the highest ranked of the Gang of 5 gets in automatically.

It doesn't matter, BCS or no BCS. SDSU has to leave the MWC.

Even after defections, the NBE has better teams than the MWC (as has been documented several times in these threads). The SOS factor should work out in such a way that a one loss BE team will be ranked higher than an undefeated MW champ.

ESPN projects you 5th in the nBE next season. But the top three are leaving the conference at the end of the year so things will get a lot easier after that.
Correction: Louisville & Rutgers are leaving. Cincy remains. For now.
Yoda out...

I do seem to recall a certain team from Lower California traveling up to the blue turf and beating them....... IOW: Ridiculous statement. You want what they've got? WIN. Period.

Not necessarly. They have missed it the past couple of years and a lot of other mid majors are strong now. I bet they only make it every four or five years.

They'll definitely be the class of the MWC and have a very good chance of being undefeated. Whereas, the BE is a stronger conference with tougher games week in and week out, meaning that in all likelyhood, there will not be an undefeated team nor even a single loss team. So an undefeated BSU will be the spot over a 2 loss team from the BE and probably a one loss team as well. Its how BSU keep getting in the BCS to begin with. They played a soft schedule and would go undefeated. Once they made it into the MWC and its stiffer competition, they weren't a lock for it any more. But now that the MWC is essentially the WAC again, BSU is right back where they were, but with more money heading their way due to the MWC bending over.
I personally want to stay the course with the nBE, but maybe it makes more sense to go back to the MWC as its an easier route to the one BCS (or what ever they're calling it) spot available.
