Rockys record in Bowl games is abysmal because they are just a reward for players and extra practice time. Also Mendenhall is his adopted son almost, his parents went to BYU,he just does not get our visceral hate of BYU..
We are exposed as a team with below average wide outs a QB not ready for prime time. A defense which is terrible against good passing teams.

Second I also said that Rocky's "this is a reward" attitude is the reason for his dismal bowl success.

Are you saying that BYU is a good passing team or that they had a good passing game? no they are not a good offensive team at all,.I was just saying we have showed in other games we have trouble against passing tams. Here is was we are strictly a running team against a great run defense. so it would come down to who makes the fewest mistakes. They beat us by having better seopcial teams and by us having one dimensional offense.

He had ten receptions, which was completely predictable under the circumstances since he came into the game with 90 whereas no other BYU player had more than 33. I mentioned that in a thread I started about the game several weeks ago. If a doofus like me could see that Coffman would be the principal focus of their offense, I would have thought Rocky could have and game planned accordingly.

The miscues were the reason we lost.

BYU could not sustain any drives.

we suck as we always do, nothing new Not sure that I consider 9-4 and road wins against Nevada and Boise as "sucking." That is what we did with Chuck Long.

From where I sit your conclusions are, although not pleasant, accurate. Fred Noonan.
