It was interesting to hear Michael Cage on Fox Sports San Diego last night, doing the Aztecs game. They presented a graphic that showed how the Aztecs had won or shared 9 conference titles in 2012. He also said that his daughter was going to SDSU to play Volleyball next year. Believe he is going to be an assistant coach at Mater Dei . Would be great if some of the athletes from the school would also consider SDSU going forward. His son is on the basketball team there. Also saw the commercial saying Aztecs would have some additional games on the network plus the Big West and USD.

I love hearing Michael Cage do Aztec games.
When I did color commentary for UC Riverside, I worked at the same table as Cage during one game. I talked to him about SDSU after the game, and he absolutely loves everything about the program.

I enjoy Cage's enthusiam but he needs to study to recognize Aztecs players. He too often confuses their names.

Isn't Cage's son a freshman stud at Mater Dei?

I'd just politely ask that Mr. Cage cease his use of "Stephenson" every time he begins with "Deshawn".

In regards to being an assistant at Mater Dei, I am sure some of those kids are watching our games when he is broadcasting, which is giving us some additional visibility. Plus you can tell on TV that he loves the school and the team.

He is very supportive of the program. Love listening to his commentary.

Yea, he loves SDSU, I'll take a few mistakes since he only calls half a dozen games or so this year - if he becomes the regular announcer on fox sports then I'll demand him not make mistakes, but for the lousy games fox sports acquired, he has made the blowouts interesting.

Seems like a good guy, and obviously a great former player, but he's brutal as a broadcaster. So was his partner. Those guys are like the "D League" of announcing crews.

I met him a couple years back at the MWC tourny in vegas in Niketown in Caesars. We were able to talk to him for a good amount of time and he couldn't have been nicer.
