My source (a director for the company that is contracted by SDSU to manage their facilities) said he expects about 45K tix purchased in advance and about 5K walkups, weather complying. So, about 48k? Bummer.

I wish it were sold out, but I'm going to be drunk and tailgate my arse off whether there are 10K or 60K.

I'm kind of disappointed. We're having a great year, could win 10 GAMES!!!, and we're playing BYU. I really can't explain why people are not buying tickets for this.

Maybe because we're playing BYU.

LARGEST HOME GAME ATTENDANCE 1. 59,473 (16) Iowa (HB) Dec. 30, 1986 L, 38-39 2. 57,286 Washington State (FW) Sept. 17, 2011 W, 42-24 3. 57,216 Idaho State (so) (FW) Sept. 4, 2004 W, 38-21 4. 56,737 Brigham Young* Nov. 16, 1991 T, 52-52 5. 55,868 San Jose State (FW) Sept. 24, 2005 W, 52-21 6. 53,794 Utah (FW)* Sept. 23, 2006 L, 7-38 7. 53,611 vs. Southern California (HC) Sept. 5, 1992 T, 31-31 Iowa brings the crowds out. Believe my Hawks won on a last second field goal? Amazing game! Go Hawks. Long live his holiness: Sir Hayden Fry. Was it Ronnie Harmon who had a nice KO return to give IOWA the chance to kick that winning FG? Yeah, that game still burns me. And to hear Ron Reina announce on the radio side, "HE BLOCKED IT!!! NO... IT'S GOOD!" IOWA WINS!" Do you know what it was like to hear that in Radioland as an Aztec fan? Painful & troubling.

I'm telling you. We lost attendance momentum when we lost in the NO Bowl. That's why the crowds started off slow, plus losing to UW didn't help. This is why we have to win today. It's very important for increasing 2013 attendance.

Binky was just on 1360 with Ben and Chris and he said tonight's game will have over 40k. Lower bowl should be full.
Side note: Holiday bowl is already at 55k sold, UCLA sold out there alotment already. He didn't mentioned what they amount was.

Instead of starting a new thread, I'll ask it here ... The lot opens at 11:00am on Thursday, correct? Thanks in advance. No. 8:00am.
