Just being honest, I am not a complainer usually. I understand the entertainment value in a concert, a ballgame, whatever. If I elect to pay the dough, I go with a smile on my face. But I am sick and tired of the increasing, ridiculous cost to catch a Chargers game. I was just looking at Week 2 tickets vs. the Jags. When I clicked on the $87 tickets....only View section was left. I refuse to sit anywhere but Field, Club, or (my usual) Plaza. To get in the plaza...corner of the endzone not even near midfield....is $107 each plus service charges. Unreal! Obviously I am not alone in my complaints, given this article below, and the growing blackout concerns (even at Charger games). Bring on the HD baby! www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5j7kWyem-v53wYRI49dM0ckTWmZWAD9I41FTO0I only would go to 1-2 games a year but this is still ridiculous. It's the principle of the matter. Whats parking now, $30? $40? Beer, food....we're talking $200 a person to go to a Sunday day game. And it's not just the home opener. All the games. I ain't paying $100 to sit in plaza vs. the friggin jags. I guess I'll be home in front of the 42-inch HD. To hell with it!

It's still bull$#!+.
Aztec football is the best bargain in town, lol.
My SDSU ftbl season seats, field level, 40 yard line a couple of years ago were like $75 per seat for the entire season.

Gosh Josh. ..and you say that I'm cheap about the Padre games. What's wrong with the View level? For football you need a higher seat to see what's going on. Field level sucks for football and Plaza isn't much better Club/Loge is the best and View is second best. If you don't want to spend $200 try eating before the game. The same day the Jaguars are in town I'll be in Indianapolis seeing the Colt-Giant game and paying a lot more than $107. Come on, loosen up!

Check with me or this Chargers Thread every now and then. I often have extra Chargers tickets and I sell them at cost $98each to friends and acquaintances. Field Level 0 on about the 5 yard line/goal line, 16th row.

They're trying to get taxpayers to spend at least half a billion dollars for a new stadium. Until that thing is approved, rest assured that despite weekly threats to the contrary, every regular season home game will be televised locally. Sure about that? sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5581180

Guess I'm not the only person that won't pay $100 to sit in view out of principle alone.
Have fun at the game, K5.

The Chargers, Southern California's only NFL team, say other games are in danger of being blacked out this season. They say more than 12,000 tickets remain for their next home game against Arizona on Oct. 3.

Once you have kids, you unfortunately give up some Sundays of being in front of the TV from 10 AM til the Sunday night game is over. You enjoy the game and the bank account hit, I'll bitch and moan and hit the pool most of the day. ;D

I see more of these in the future. I had a ticket to the game today and ended up watching it on the computer hooked up to the TV.

I hope someone gave it to you and you didn't waste your money on it. Next time let me know and I will go for you and buy you a six pack.

I have seen exactly ONE Chargers home game in person. That was the season finale in 1974, and I got my tickets FREE.
I agree with those who say that Aztec tickets are a bargain. Remember that many BCS schools regularly charge $40, $50, or more even for mediocre seats.

Cheapest Charger ticket I believe is $54 bucks.

Can usually get scalper tickets for around 25 if you're willing to miss the first few minutes

I'll go to one, maybe two games a year. I go with a friend who is a season ticket holder. One, I'm not a Chargers fan- my sporting $ goes to the Aztecs. Two, when if I do go to a game, its either to see a team I like or want to see (J'ville just doesn't do it from a competitive standpoint or interest for me). And three, I'd rather save the 2-3 benjamins and enjoy the game in the comfort of my home or local watering hole. Just curious, why would you have a ticket and not go to the game? I hope someone gave it to you and you didn't waste your money on it. Next time let me know and I will go for you and buy you a six pack.
